I want to hear both Destiny player and a the Division player. This is the poll that will end the battle between these two games, and only one will survive.
In My Opinion : Come on, do you really think that a Helicopter could beat Atheon or all the raid bosses ?
Edit : to the people who have access to The Division forums, please post a poll like this and let me know !
Edit : We're at the top of the #Destiny forums. Meh

I havent played the division before but from all the hype for it to people hating it i think i'll stick with this dead ass game haha
-
Both great games. Divisions biggest problem right now and I openly admit it is the endgame you grind for nothing, a near to impossible mission. But I love it. Destiny has an endgame but once you've done everything once your done and it takes less then 24 hours disclosing resets

I can't believe I'm saying this but, even destiny had more story at launch than the division.

Destiny.

3 Repliesits like comparing pizza from small local pizza shop and a well known pizza shop brand like dominos no matter how you cut it, it is still a pizza

They're both pretty bad.

Out of those two, Division. I didn't like Destiny, I only managed to play it for around 2 weeks and it bored the shit out of me. It's been over a year since I last played it and I still haven't forgot the first time I landed on Earth, saw a grand total of 3 other people and laughed hysterically at how terrible that was. I play a lot of MMO's so to play an online game and have it void of other people struck me as truly pathetic. That was the first day of playing so it never stood a chance, I was already put off it by then. I did try but the awful story, shallow depth of the game, linear "worlds" and having clans outside of the game (Destiny, reliving the worst part of 90's online gaming) was never going to sit well with me. I can't think of one redeeming feature. Division has it's issues, lots of issues, but it has managed to keep me playing so for that reason alone it's a massive improvement over Destiny for me.

TL;DR - Destiny probably, but if The Division gets its shit together, I'll be back. Right now I'm playing too much Dark Souls 3 to worry about either of them. I really enjoyed the division for a while. I felt good when I finally got decent gear and could hold my own against yellows and the purples were as easy as the red bar guys used to be. Then I watched a small group of people get stupid OP from a variety of glitches and exploits. I watched the devs use the same exploits and then blame the players for messing up the game. I watched as the PC community was harassed by hackers. I tried to figure out what Massive's intent was for how to play the game. Which turns out is how the right way to play the game, the new gear sets make already OP builds even more OP while further devaluing support roles and completely ruining the "tank" spec. Then I got burnt out fast when I realized getting a weapon I wanted with decent perks was nearly impossible. Which was further aggravated by a heinous crafting nerf. That said, I still like the game, but 15 waves of enemies does not a strike/instance/raid make. My current joy is checking Reddit to find out if there's a new weapon shader that I don't have... Assuming I have inventory space for any more shaders. Though I've put a collective 4 hours into Destiny and The Division since Dark Souls 3 came out. Darks Souls is going to wear thin pretty soon though... I'm not a big PVP guy and most of the games in the series only held my attention until I beat the game with a few different builds (about a month). What then? Probably more Destiny even though the new PoE thing is boring AF. Maybe I'll dust off the computer and play some of the WoW I'm still paying for.

I mean, both are hot garage.

Edited by SirBigWater: 4/23/2016 9:59:53 AMDestiny is better in my opinion. The only thing better than destiny in the division is the setting (post virus ridden New York, sleeper agents awakened for cleanup and to find a way to stop it.). I have played about less than 17 hours of the division since the 2nd week of launch. While I did stop playing destiny during the first month of it's release, it's game play was still good. With the division's long road to level up to 30, and all of the exploits that are going on that I do not/can not take part it, there is no point in playing. I still have not played the incursion, mostly due to being level 24, but it is not exciting. Destiny is exciting, the division has some moments that are interesting. 90 dollars for the game and 50 for it's season pass was not at all worth it for the division. I am glad that I have a stable enough income to throw that away (not literally)

2 RepliesEdited by xDeFalt: 4/23/2016 5:34:56 AMLooking at pure fact, as much as I'm irritates with bungie and destiny in general. Matching vanilla destiny with vanilla division, destiny wins by a land slide. The division only has 3 things to do after the "story" , daily stuff, dz and incursion. Their "named" weapons are literally just high ends with a set roll of normal perks and some flavor flav paint job, dz is pretty sad as well, pvp in that game is straight boring. There are also glitches out the ass that pretty much ruined the game, especially for those not doing the glitches. As opposed to destiny, story is just as pathetic, but it also has its dailies, a raid(which is leagues better than the incrusion) a separate , fairly good, pvp, strikes and exotic gear that have special perks specific to that 1 piece of gear. Looking at it factually side by side, destiny is better. The division has time to change its game, but in a flat comparison to the original destiny, it does fall short. I stopped playing the division probably 2 weeks after I got it and due to its sheer lack of end game and massive glitches, I have not had any desire to play, there's just no reason to. Purchased DA:Inquisition GOTY though, love me some Dragon age ^^

Most Division players are starting to feel the end game sting, anyone who recommended it a few weeks ago isn't recommending it now.

3 RepliesWell, seeing as how Massive had more than a year to look at everything Destiny did wrong and still not do things right in The Division, I can't really say it's better. It took around a month for the raid and from everything I've heard it's incredibly lackluster. And when your endgame is essentially just the DZ, you need some real PvE endgame. Don't even say Challenge Mode is endgame seeing how absolutely uninspired it is. No modifiers or anything to make things actually interesting. Just overleveled top tier enemies. They also have the exact same problem with nerfing. They're balancing around PvP; PvE be damned. This will eventually ruin min/max builds which the game is built for. Those builds will have to be brought in line to make PvP fair because the DZ is the only endgame that matters. Destiny did do gunplay and gear way better than The Division. Without a firearm build in Division, you can't even utilize most talents on weapons. All that matters on a weapon at that point is damage, fire rate, etc. That doesn't make for a very fun RPG. The only thing stopping you in Destiny from using weapon and gear skills is not having the nodes unlocked. That's literally something everyone can do without having to change their playstyle.
