lol screw this CoE week
Im putting this edit at the beginning, because apparently I can't critique bungie. The point I'm trying to get across is that I was killed a lot in stupid ways this week, either by syloks fire that I couldn't escape, or 3 goblins bursting me at the same time and getting insta-killed. I'm trying to say that I feel kinda trolled this week.
P.S. I've been playing for 3 months, and this is my first shooter, SO IM A NOOB!
I farmed the fudge out of last weeks Coe and managed to finish the exotic set, as well as a 320 ghost and a mark. ( Thank you so much bungie!!) but, this week is ridiculous! I know I'm not elite, but I have great strategy and gun skill, and yet died 8 times to the cabal! I also feel like goblins are sniping me at a coordinated time, also makin me salty. Anybody else same?
EDIT I understand that it is [b]challenge[/b] of the elders, but I feel like the challenges are trollish, like getting taken down in .5 seconds because 3 goblins shot me at the same time. I'm trying not to salt too much!

Idk if i can go thru anymore poe, was playing it today and I couldn't wait for the game to finished, I was bored out of my mind. But I really want her mercy sniper.

Wear solar resistance armor to absorb more hobgoblin snipes... Other than that u have to dodge a lot, and take out snipers asap...

1 ReplyI loved this week's challenge. Any Warlock helmet with ashes to assets mixed with the prime warlock build destroys it. The three of us rotated who went in void walker and barely had any problem. The warlock would score 20,000 points while the other two managed the boss. So much fun.

I know people hate seeing these type of posts, but I think the cabal arena is the only one that really demands a higher light. It's pretty simple for me and my mates.

It's easy. You need to kik the psions first, it tells you which one to kill then damage boss, kill the next psion rinse and repeat

Man , best plan is to just kill him then build score on final round ( went from 9,000 to 30,000 easy)

Kill all 3 shielded psions before you try to do any boss damage. They may stay close to the boss but it's way easy to clear them out once all the adds are dealt with. Then just make up the lost time quick.

1 ReplyCover is important. In cabal kill everything, don't even bother hunting the relevant flayer. If you happen across it go ahead and kill it, but you're asking for trouble trying to DPS the boss with adds everywhere. Use Raze Lighhter to wipe out the flayer when necessary quickly, doesn't matter which element. Also don't sweat variks's impatience. Add points, especially if you're using grenades, cover for any deductions

If you have nothing manacles and an energy drain build then warlocks will find this so easy.I couldn't throw my grenades fast enough

1 ReplySolo'd with my warlock. Died too much for my taste, but mostly to my own grenades. Gonna try hunter next...maybe tomorrow. Precision knife kills give good pts as grenades, so two options there at least.

2 RepliesGrenades for daaays on my void warlock. Axion bolt was doing work esp with catapult. My and a friend duo'd it. Cabal gave us trouble at first but brought in a daze lighter and it was cake from then on. The psions flayers don't respond to just take em out and keep your distance from the boss. Gl :)

Lol people this challenge is ez I did it on my hunter with two other hunters went 31k 31k 29k it's really about killing adds if you don't get grenade kills make sure it's precision kills. Dps the boss till reinforcements come than stop and I repeat stop dpsing the boss kill all adds than after go back to dpsing boss rinse and repeat you should get 5 rounds of adds this way and thats where you get your real score when if variks grows impatient you should still get 30k

In the third round of challenge, you need max discipline, and an Exotic that allows an extra grenade charge helps alot! Also, you absolutely have to keep moving when clearing minions, there is no camping here! The Taken do not stay on the ground like the Vex do! Should have added that grenades with a damage over time effect is the best to use.

I soloed it yesterday on my Hunter (40k) and then my Titan (46K). You can do it.
