how the hell are people getting 335
i ran the raid last week, with all 3 of my characters, i dumped it all into my hunter, i went from 320 to 323. i didnt gain any light on the segils.
i just ran the raid on my hunter(first character for this week) and went from 323 to 325. how do you mother -blam!-ers have 335 already?

I went from 320 to 329 with my warlock. Two raids, one COE card turn in and lots of COE boss farming last week. A lot of people saved exotic engrams to decode after the update. I for one don't wanna rush to 335 with all 3 of my guardians and then be bored again

Edited by Heidegger: 4/20/2016 11:35:12 AMMy friend just grinded herioc strikes with 3oC last week and went from 323-333. Edit: No reason to rush and compared to 320 reaching 335 light is a joke. Both of them are achieved through luck but you can reach this without touching end game content(which is a good thing).

I'm about a 328 or 329 and I didn't do any of it and I only played like 2 or 3 different days last week and a bit last night. Also, once one character is at 335, the other won't be long after, but mine are all pretty even at 327-329ish

I spent 120 3oC this week just for a Heavy Engram to get 335. Got about 30 of everything else. Getting trolled...HARD!

I've had nothing but shitty drops, and 3oc was a joke last week only 1 exotic like 2 points higher. What are the benefits of running and farming Coe. After you get both scores topped out?

6 RepliesBe gernaderjake. He's a twitch streamer. He saved. 70. Exotic Engrams. And he was 325+. In minutes. He got. Worlds first. 335. 4 hours. After the update came out.

strikes, exotics, CoE, CoO, raid, and rank ups. every listed activity can drop gear based on your light level. heres the trick that slips by many folks. anytime you are collecting rewards, decrypting an exotic, or getting a drop, make sure you are wearing your highest light gear. decrypt exotics one at a time. decrypt, infuse, decrypt, infuse, etc. also, try and pay attention to what your weakest item is and hunt a replacement, rinse repeat. ie: if your artifact is 3-4 light above your loadout, stop grinding at the court.

You have to spend your time in the right places at the right time. If the raid is the first thing you do then you will have trouble getting better gear. If you do nightfalls and CoE and rank up some factions you will get some decent stuff. Then do the raid and let it provide you with all of your infusion stuff material.

It's just the light system, I went from 314 to 333 in my hunter in a week just by playing, not grinding. Luck's a big part of it too. No hurry to get maxed out, 3 characters, lots of new gear and a few months without new content to work on it.

My characters were 320, 319, 319 before the update and now they're all 334. Just need gauntlets for my Titan and he'll be 335. I had about eight exotic engrams in my vault. Farming the Coe last week was what got me where I am.

It's just a bit of luck and strategic play. - I was level 319.9 on every character before the update; - I started with faction packages to get to like 322-323 on all characters (about 10 reward packages in total by donating heavy ammo synths); - Then I did CoE and got to about 324-325; - Here comes to major part: I ran the raid on my titan, got it to level 326 and saved up 328-329 gear to get my hunter to 328. I then ran the raid with a 328 hunter getting 330-332 gear. I infused that gear to my warlock which got him to 330. I ran the raid with my warlock and got 332-335 gear; - After that I farmed CoE for 335 ghosts/class items/special weapons/exotic engrams. After a day it got all my characters to 334 due to the direct infusion. Hope it clarifies it a bit. Oh and I did not have exotic engrams prior to the update. Edit: I did this during the weekend, as I had to work during the week. It's that easy....

I've been playing for 8 days, stopped playing in November. (Played for a year before I took a break) and I got my characters all from 312 up to 324,322 and 332 in 8 days. I only ran one raid. Three of coins are now essential for lighting up, expect xur to up his price of them.

People are too serious about finishing everything quickly imo. One guy I play with is like 334 and is obsessed with getting high level rewards when he doesn't even enjoy the activity you need to complete to get them. It makes no sense to me, I prefer to just take it easy and level as I play, rather than playing to increase my level.

I started at 317 and have gotten to 331. POE, and lots of 3OC. I didn't save engrams as I stepped away from the game for some time.

I didn't save any engrams. Just completed all activities and grinded heroic strikes with a rep booster and levelled up factions went from 319 to 333 in one week

They saved a bunch of exotics before the update and opened them after the update. I did the same but I only saved about 15 exotics some ppl had 30++

Edited by Selario: 4/20/2016 7:55:12 AMWhat I did was this. Do everything on main character. Raid, nightfall, etc. Move all that stuff to my second character, infuse into gear I don't care about. Do everyone on second character. Repeat with third. Then I gave it all back to my main. I'm not 335 yet, didn't grind as much as I should have, but I am close! :)
