Playing for awhile; it's like a ladder system so you'll get there eventually if you play.
-
It's RNG but it's light based you need to be 330 or higher for 335 gear if your 320 light you'll get up to 325 gear just grind and ur light goes up

Get good -blam!-

1 ReplyFaction packages to 330 CoE for 335 gear, ghosts, and class items. CoO for 335 artifact (once over 331) Raid drops when 330+ seem significantly improved, even before challenge mode. Heroic strikes for 335 strike specific drops. I was 335 on two characters before reset, and need a chest piece and ghost for the 3rd. It has been pretty easy. Once you hit 331, it seems like 335 stuff drops more frequently. Move weapons and ghosts around so that you are always playing each character at max light. I probably have about twelve 335 weapons now (and a bunch of annoying 334's), and enough armor to start working on different perk sets, level up specific class items for faction and Iron Banner, etc. It is becoming very player friendly.

4 RepliesLove this update! Trials, raids, PoE, strikes and nightfall are all relevant and all give 330 and above rewards
-
You get light up to 5 levels higher than you. You have to do more than the raid lol.
-
I've been running coe and heroics and trying to get a raid together, still trapped at 319.

It's called luck

334 hunter 333 lock and a 332 Titan....raid hardmode challenge nightfall Poe 42 don't mess with 41....it's actually pretty easy
-
Really? I went up by 7 light from one hard raid when the update came out. Everything you get has a high chance of being an upgrade to what you already have. Just be sure to equip your highest light gear when claiming your reward in a raid or a package.

Edited by 2 Copies of Shrek on DVD: 4/21/2016 4:16:05 PMWell I mostly do crucible since I like the PvP for some odd reason that being said, exotic engrams usually decrypt higher, packages from factions usually give higher light and occasionally I'll do the CoE and the raid for extra infusion fuel. Trials also gives very high gear, if you're not a big PvP guy just do the gold tier package and it'll give you high light gear, got 330 gauntlets as a 325 hunter IB will be very interesting for sure

3 RepliesGoing into this week all I needed was a helmet. Mine is 334. Guess I'll be suck at 334 for a lil while

7 RepliesPoE awards high light gear. I pulled a 318 RARE (yes a blue) from the level 41 last night. Nightfalls. Faction/Vendor packages will usually give out gear that is higher than what you've currently got equipped. And then, of course, there are the exotics which will do the same. KF isn't the only way to fly, these days. Plus, ToO awards high light gear, so that's another option if you don't just want to focus on PvE.

6 RepliesDont limit yourself to raids. Vanguard and faction rank ups give higher ranking items. Strikes with specific items can drop up to 335 and if they have crap rolls you can infuse. Court of Oryx drops artifacts up to 335. Gunsmith ranked up will also give you a higher light level weapon.

Edited by Marshall: 4/21/2016 12:16:44 PMAll three of mine are 335. How? I didn't have a bunch of exotic engrams saved up. I had no vault space for that. After the update, I immediately played prison of elders. I ranked up a few factions using materials/motes. I grinded the Court of Oryx for a better artifact. I was 326 with my titan fairly quickly. I then ran the raid at 326/327 with my titan but only infused weapon drops which were dropping around 330 to 331. I saved all armor. I then infused all armor into my hunter. This made his light jump significantly. After moving my weapons over to him and infusing he was 331. I then did the raid with him. I got 335 gear from Golgoroth plus some other good drops. I put all of this year into my warlock. My warlock was 333 when I started the raid. Got even higher light gear. I put this gear into my titan and he was 335 by Wednesday night. I then farmed exotic engrams and challenge of elders with my Titan. After just two raid completions over the past two days, all three of my characters are now 335. It was pretty easy.

I only need boots on two characters then I have three 335 characters without swapping gear. The only boots I've had are one pair of exotic boots from an engram, completed all the available endgame content yet no 335 boots dropped.
-
Play the whole game.

CoE,Nightfall,Court of Oryx,PvP (all of them) and strikes. There is no need to do Raids to get to 335 light.Only if you like/enjoy Raids. I was 310 before the update and a friend was 315. He was/is doing raids and I am not.Today my main is 334 and his 333. CoO=335 artifact CoE=335 ghost Nightfall/H.strikes=335 class item plus exotics. PvP for fast farming exotics (infusing them)

9 RepliesRaid can't drop 335 yet so your wasting your time only drops to 330
