Is any one else running out of ammo a lot lately in PvE?
Post update I have noticed that I run out of ammo a lot more often in PvE. In strikes, raids, and PoE I find myself completely lacking ammo. Even after killing a number of enimes there are no crates to be found. Not even primary ammo. I find myself sitting there hiding until the game auto regens ammo for me. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues?
Edit 1: Thanks for all the replies. So it seems that lack of primary ammo seems to be a big issues.
Edit 2: Wow, I wake up to like 70 replies! Thanks for all of the comments guys. Still seems like the conseneus is primary ammo crate shortages for the most part. I'm getting mixed opinions on special.
Edit 3: 171 replies! Thanks guys, keep it trending. It appears that some are experiencing a sudden abundance of ammo drops at times, yet it is not consistent enough to prevent these droughts.

**For the people insinuating that discussing a shortage in ammo means we're complaining, we suck at the game, and/or "need our hands held" (not gonna say any names), please reassess your thinking. I believe that game is still easy with or without an abundance of ammo. Friendly discussion tend not to be so bad when you're not berating others. Just calm down lol. Stay beautiful guardians.

Sitting behind a rock waiting for ammo to respawn in your inventory because none is on the ground is annoying, it's doesn't make the game more difficult, it just makes it more boring. it's easier to run away from enemies anyways, I just want to shoot things forever.

Yep since bungie had to go and screw with the ammo surplus and drop rates I've been chewing through synths like crazy which is sad since they claimed "ammo would drop more often to compensate for the lower amount held"

I don't have much special ever. I had to go ruin wings exclusive to have any heavy, but my hand cannon is doing fine

Ran out completely in CoE. Resorted to melee until ammo dropped. It doesn't happen to often but it does happen once in a while. Usually with a HC equipped. Meh, if I die, I spawn with ammo. Not a big deal IMO.

I've definitely noticed a difference since the update. Even while having 'Find more ammo' perk weapons equipped, I can go an entire mission without getting a heavy or special ammo to drop

Funnily enough with the handcannon buff I've been maining my imago loop and have yet to run out of ammo

2 RepliesI have this problem often. I wrote in the Feedback section a few days ago a suggestion to bring back Primary Ammo Synthesis at the Gunsmith. I luckily still have a few of them left, but I use them regularly and am running out.

Only once. I ran out of Suros Regime ammo somehow during The Blighted Chalice. It was weird.

Yup. Rotates. I'll play one section or strike and run out of primary. Then next section absolutely no special drops. It's a joke.

Mostly primary ammo. For example on golgoroth I would have a few heavy bricks, plenty of special bricks and no friggen primary drops on each ad phase. But the biggest problem was POE with small arms. You want me to use my primary, but don't give me ammo for it lol. My weapon of choice was my suros scout rifle. Has a total of like 227 bullets. Still ran outta ammo.

I've notice a more strict ammo economy for me. My friend said he didn't even saw a single ammo brick. Why they changed that BS? In Y1 all ammo drops where visible for all in the game.

2 RepliesI might just be lucky but I am literally drowning in heavy and special ammo drops during pve. I run out of enemies before I run out of rockets or sniper rounds.
