Why is everyone quitting strikes?
At least 75% of the time I'm in a heroic strike, my teammates quit, new ones join, quit, and repeat. This seems to be new as of the update.
Why are people doing this? Are they trying to farm a particular strike or something? It's getting ridiculous having to solo every strike every time
Edit: After 50+ replies saying "because winter's run" that makes sense. Wish Bungie added the taken variant to the map so I could still farm the heroic playlist for exotics and high light drops. It goes so much faster with actual teammates...

Screw strike-specific strikes. My New Monarchy weapons are all I need for my Titan. Now...if only my faction had a Scout Rifle, Fusion Rifle, and Rocket Launcher...

How many strikes are there in that one before the update? 6 did it for 3 hours when TTK came out got dust palace 60% of the time some times back to back. Got fallen saber 15% of the time. I started to leave them because got bored with them.

People want a taken shotgun and that shotgun is only available in 1 strike in the heroic playlist. Guess what happens? Everybody is leaving strikes until they get the Taken Winter's Run strike.

2 RepliesYeah it's really bad since the update. Bungie does need to do something about it. Last night I had 4 people quit out of Dust Palace as soon as they spawned. The problem is that they spawn in so the adds multiply to 3x difficulty and then they F off so the person staying has to clean up their shit, so the strike takes twice as long. Often others join but it's gotten to where you never know if someone's going to leave at a critical time. If you look at their recent games they always have a lot of 0 kills 0 deaths etc in strikes. It should be something like -50 Vanguard points for deserting and Zavala gives you a pink dildo class item at 3 light in your next package.

1 ReplyThere is an easy way to fix this. If you complete. You get a stacking buff similar to 3oC improving your chances of a good drop. If you quit a match or strike. The buff resets to zero and you start from the beginning. Not too harsh, but if you've done three strikes and you drop hasn't appeared, you won't want to lose your buff by quitting. Dust Palace and Omnigul just need to change to make 3oC viable. There is nothing worse when farming exotics then to keep being matched into these strikes. The Warmind satellite section... I don't know.

I was playing Poe 260 version, and I had one guy leave, and one who went AFK for 15 minutes. Eventually he got back on, and someone else joined right around the same time.

2 RepliesWell if bungie decided to make the taken archon priest strike more available then not as many players would leave the strike. Bungie is -blam!-ing dangling this new strike and that shotgun just above our heads, taunting us saying " oh you want to play this new strike to get the rare loot? Well TOO BAD!!"

1 ReplySimple solution: bring a fireteam. Whether they are friends or just randoms from the forums, you at least know you won't get ditched. On a side note, I'll be sure all of the quitters don't get any good drops. And if I feel like giving them drops, I'll make sure it has the worst roll possible ;)

2 RepliesI've been working on my Warlock and so far, I have yet to get ANYTHING over 300 and he's 312 light. I still get green engrams. I don't get it. I feel like this is a sign to not play my Warlock. Actually, I did get a shotgun at 315 from a Vanguard package, but I've gotten garbage from strikes so far.

I think People are trying to get rapid completions or do the winters run strike. Not sure which it is.

So between having to loot and no loot at all, I'll choose the loot. [spoiler]and grow a pair. A strike can easily be soloed. It's more upsetting when somebody quits in the middle of raid[/spoiler]
