I did nothing to prepare for tomorrow.
I am a year 1 and beta player.
Edit: Really though, fool me once, twice, three times. Probably a 4th time. Never again will I waste so much time on something that just ends up being obsolete. Never again.

I definitely didn't prepare. Haven't even logged on to destiny in over a month. Hopefully this update makes me love the game again. Even if it's for a little while.

Neither did I... There's no point... From what I've read, other than one strike, they're just re-releasing old content and reskinned weapons and armor... Why "prepare" to reset the grind?

Same here. Beta and Day 1 player who played Destiny almost every single day from release until about 3 weeks ago. Haven't played at all in past 3 weeks as there was no point in doing so with the update coming (still mad I could never get that last 320 class item to bring all 3 characters to 320).

Heh, good call. That being said... I did get variks up to rank 3 for the shaders as I didn't fancy getting them as random drops. Am I a speedrunner now?

Spent hours and hours just to get moldering shards and two shitty ass guns that were completely -blam!-ing useless. I told my friend Dont bother! its pointless, he ignored me and wasted hours of his time every night not enjoying himself just to hit 320.. Now im laughing at him and he literally hates the kings fall raid because of how boring and retarded it is. Huge investment of time with no rewards. Light level is a joke, rewards are a joke. When they update the game to reward you for the time you put in THEN i will give a damn. They are getting there. Hopefully by the end of destiny 2 the game will be shaping up well. They need to allow us to keep all our gear through the series. Year 1 gear all the way to year 3 or 4 or even 5 depending on how many sequels there are. Theres no point preparing for the next two updates and these are the reasons why i guess. But there are many more reasons on why you should not waste your time with this game.

I've got my crucible rep close to levelling up on my main but that's it. All I want from this update is a two to the morgue, love that gun.

I still play daily, but I would rather do it legit than horde up hundreds of engrams and have all the new gear on the first day... That's just dumb and boring.

Took a break from destiny as well. Looking forward to seeing some of these new armors. I'm essentially going to deck my Titan out in the new chroma tron looking set and not care some more. It's fun to okay it not so seriously with small goals in mind. Not even trippin off destiny anymore. Not going to burn through this content so fast either.

Yeah, Destiny is losing steam really quick. All I've done is keep some exotic/legendary engrams and 100 or so motes. Once I get Queenbreakers and P&T I couldn't care less.... No plans to do KF anymore as I cannot stand the thought of stepping into that raid anymore. I like the little stuff like new weapons and a new currency/material. Until something really exciting comes I'll just be like the guys who are 305-315 right now, I'm tired of most everything in the game and don't really want to grind light level anymore.

i didn't really either i'm just playing mayhem clash now (the only thing i do have are about 10 helmet engrams that i'm waiting to open because a 310 helmet takes up the same space as a potentially better one)

5 RepliesThere's not a lot to prepare for. Get a couple factions/vendors to the cusp of a rank up, save up some marks, hold onto some engrams. It's not like there was a bunch to do. You'll probably have most of the new stuff before half the people that did prepare, anyways.
