Congratulations to the smart people who've not played this garbage game for a while, you can now buy armor with silver.
Yep just like what you kids were told, buying silver is going to show bungie that they can do whatever and you kids will still throw money at the screen for rehashed content. I'm so glad I don't play this crapfest anymore.
Now to wait for all the silly children with Half ass excuses on why this game is still good LOL.
Dang only 5 minutes in and I already have the white knights trying to defend what 99% of the forums had complained about. Btw it is p2w if I can buy armor that then is infused into my gear....
Well it's been about 20 hours now and no one has come up with a legit counter argument, you sheeple all spout the same force fed BS that bungie's given you. Must suck that your favorite game that's garbage is now even more garbage with this p2w system.

1 ReplyI struggle to see the advantage this level 3 armor will have over other armors. Even when infused. They're just different cosmetic looks. No unique perks or stats other armors won't have.

So you're telling me, if i buy the packages because im an impatient bastard it'll come with free 9-0 trials passages? So light level 3 armor, AND FREE 9-0 PASSAGE? Idk man, sounds a little too good to be true if you ask me.

Edited by iLLMuzik: 4/2/2016 4:00:48 AMThere is one mechanic that does give this update a pay to win avenue. Buy sterling packages, which contain XP boosts for rep... Use those to get rep packages more frequently & therefore more chances at guns. This would cost a lot of money to do... Like a lot, but could boost the speed at which you get an end game weapons or armor pieces

2 RepliesI'm pretty sure this is bait, but nonetheless. If you hate destiny oh so much, then leave. We don't need to hear about it. People come here to talk about the game, not have someone's opinion forced down their throat while they yell, "BURN BUNGIE BURN!".
-
If they nerf fusion rifles it won't be pay to win

Edited by gilded_hotdog: 4/2/2016 3:30:22 AMThere's 2 VANITY sets spectre and taken. Big fuking deal. They dont say, I beat Oryx challenge mode or went flawless in trials. IF some dipshit wants to spend money on RNG god bless.. good fuking luck with that who cares??????

6 RepliesDespite the arguments of "it's optional", or "you can earn it in game" Doesn't discount the fact that someone can come in and buy their way to a max Int/Dis/Str armour setup and possibly even really good vendor weapons with God rolls. Where as you need to grind for it and just hope RNG dishes it out. You can pay to have an advantage over everyone else. It's not a direct 1 to 1 route to better gear, but it's crossed the line and there is no going back. Not looking forward to the next few months.

5 RepliesIf anything, this game is pay to customize as none of the Eververse shit gives an advantage over other gear. The real children are the ones trying to push their opinions on others, and then start talking shit when people don't agree. I still play this game because I have fun and only play games to have fun.

I'm against those boxes being purchasable with silver and this is honestly a mild breeze from pay to win but the gear has such a low light level it's irrellevent unless you infuse it, I don't see this being a problem. But the way bungie keeps crossing the line is looking like hitler and how he was taking baby steps before the war started, no one really told him no. Maybe it's time the community boycotted this so they get the message that it's not a wise road to take for a game that's not even 2 full years into its 10 year plan

2 RepliesThe same people that are saying this is pay to win are the same that defended this practice in Black Ops 3. Their argument was that you can obtain them in game for free, so it isn't ptw. People just want to bad mouth destiny just to do it.

3 Repliessterling treasure can be acquired by in game activity (1 per week guaranteed, and about 3-4 per week per character) Also, all armor obtained from these sterling treasures drops at 3... 3!!!! yes it is infusible (like any other armor). However, to infuse to high levels such as 335; you must obtain 335 loot in the first place. How would one go by obtaining said armor you may inquire? BY DOING THE END GAME!!! Buying the treasure over just waiting for 3-4 per week (for -blam!-ing free) is an option. And an option I doubt many will take. These new armors don't give you max loot. They don't give you some op ability or perk. They're armor pieces made to look pretty. Which can be all be obtained WITHOUT ACTUALLY PAYING FOR ANYTHING! NOTHING IS PAY TO WIN!!! If anything; it's pay to get weak ass armor that will eventually drop for you anyway. There is no advantageous factor in any of it. But hey; someone has to bitch about something; no matter how unsound it may be But hey, maybe I'm wrong (which I'm not, this was all proved in the streams. They are vanity items. You can't just buy them and be 335. Yeah you can but them, and look a bit cool and be stuck at light level 3. But in about a month or so; EVERYONE WILL HAVE THOSE ARMOR SETS YOU PAID FOR... FOR FREE!!) But maybe, just maybe I am wrong. If so; explain. Tell me how buying level 3 armor is pay to win, even though just buying it and not doing anything else will make it so you are weak as a twig. And the fact said armor drops from playing the game anyway instead of using silver. Explain

How is receiving gear at 3 defence pay to win? The amour has no advantage over any other armour. It's just a cosmetic, but this time you'll have to make it useful yourself. It does seem like bungie are trying to slip away from the whole cosmetic only thing though. Luckily for me when that happens I won't be as stupid as half these forums as if to buy it and defend bungie.

The armor comes out of the sterling treasure as LL 3 you silly child.

You mean pay to play. Its not pay to win yet.

Edited by I Need That Head: 4/1/2016 12:42:25 AMHow can you confirm that it is pay to win? You can buy armor but how is that going to give you an advantage? #lolrekt

If perks and light both transfer over, then the armor you bought is essentially a cool looking copy of the armor you had before. There is no pay to win. Just pay to look cool
