Division is NOT as good as Destiny (Bungie your thoughts?)
Edit: Challenge mode is laughably easy and the incursion is a slow boring bullet spungy bore fest. Playing other games as well as destiny, won't be going back to division
Im no desticle. In fact I'm not even sure what constitutes being a desticle, but having put about 40 hours into The Division completing the story doing all the side missions collecting almost all collectibles and having a decent stab in the dark zone I can safely say I'm already pretty bored and think that even vanilla destiny had more to do at the same point.
I will certainly be giving the challenge modes and incursions a go but I just don't feel like I can be bothered to even skill up for them.
The division simply does not compete with Destiny's sense of theatre or game play. They're not even in the same league. The rng is a bit better, the story is a bit better but everything is a bit you know meh.....
Oh and it's buggy and glitchy as fuk. For a game that's been delayed for 2 years you think they'd iron some of that out. And content got cut.
The destiny and division are fundementaly the same game. Just because the point of view changes doesn't make it much different. I will reserve final judgment till I've played challenge and incursions but right now I'm all division till April 12th

F.Y.I: "desticle" was a title created for people that joined the bungie forum when destiny came out. Ironically, desticles have adopted the term & now use it to put down other desticles.

Why are you asking for Bungie's thought in the title? Like they're going to say they hate the Division and it sucks? Like, come on. That's a Donald Trump PR strategy. They wouldn't say anything other than 'I enjoy it' or 'I haven't gotten to play it yet.' Because any other answer would mean they're assholes. Which, while Bungie is certainly misguided these days, I wouldn't call them assholes.

Desticles like to think destiny is better, even though they like to include three DLC's into their argument when comparing a game that isnt even a month old to a game thats been out close to two years. Destiny at launch was a 5-6/10 game, half baked and has a shitty developer that thinks its entire player base is stupid and has the IQ equal to an bacteria. You dont believe me? Look at what luke smith said before the launch of TTK " if i made a DLC with nothing but emotes and charged 40 bucks, you people would still throw money at your tv screen" if he had the balls to say that in a live interview, what do you think the rest of the studio is thinking? So far, the division team has laid out a detailed roadmap and has told us what to expect in the future. Their patch notes are clear and straight to the point, bungie likes to confuse you with bullshit exposition and pointless garbage about some nerd that no one cares about. In the end, both games have their problems and things need to be fixed, the only difference is that ubisoft hasnt called their fan base a bunch of morons and idiots and has yet to shit on their fanbase like bungie keeps doing.

Both games are 7/10 and I'm been nice. Can't wait for the underground expansion on the division tho.

Those flaws in both games but are both equally as fun, especially with friends. Playing either game by yourself is kinda boring

I know exactly how you feel. I fell in love with Destiny and played the crap out of it (minus the PVP since I didn't like it). I grinded and grinded for loot. After Kings Fall I called it quits. I was lost for awhile... Picked up GTA V and Forza again and played them a lot. Picked up Kings Quest and beat it. Picked up Black OPs 3, Fallout 4... Nothing could really capture me like Destiny did. I so badly want Destiny to win me back. Enter The Division. I played the beta and didn't like it. Pre ordered it since I linked consoles with a buddy and he wanted it and it was my turn to buy. I reluctantly started it to see if the final build was better than the beta and it got a grasp on me. I've been addicted to The Division just as I was addicted to Destiny. I've completed all missions and side missions. Love the DZ and how unpredictable it is. Love the guaranteed loot drops. Love the matchmaking on just about everything. Comparing the two is like comparing Apples to Oranges. Both are a fruit, but a different kind. I still visit the forums hoping for something to win me back over though. Destiny has a special place in my heart.

You haven't made it to the end game yet where you're farming for shitty yellow drops or crafting one piece of armor literally dozens of times to get the rolls you need for your build. Then you have to farm division tech on top of that Only thing thats better is the fact that you can farm end game gear or currency repeatedly without waiting for a weekly reset or anything

[/quote] what did you expect? its ubisoft. the same company that gave us assassins creed unity. with the still broken unity app. couldnt open 1 -blam!-ing chest with that shitty app. but... how is the story better in the division? i thought it was worse than destiny and that alone is an incredible achievement. if you play trough the whole game they dont even mention the name of the stupid virus or whatever it did. all we did was get some people in to the base, put electricity on, kill some flamedudes, helped some russian and destroyed a helicopter. theres nothing more. you get more story content from reading the tips during the loading screen where they actually mention the name of the virus. i entered the game with no knowledge and i still know pretty much nothing about it. the "story" is very bad, if you can count the missions story mission.

I get on these forums, to see what's new with the game while I continue my hiatus ever since SRL, a complete slap in the face to me and anybody who played this game for the first year. I miss destiny. It bothers me that they're bringing back PoE and not VoG. I'm upset that Bungie has killed this game, and for that reason, I left. Guess what? The Division is the first game that garnered my interest like this since Destiny came out. I've been totally into it, loving the guaranteed loot, the dark zone (say what you will, I've never had my adrenaline pump like this playing a video game), and challenge mode, a REAL CHALLENGE. Destiny hasn't provided a real challenge since they recycled kings fall and pretended challenge mode was going to be "fun" and not stupid and glitchy. Oh, and just to make a comment as to the lore. If you think the division lore sucks, you're a desticle. That's all there is to it. Destiny had had scandals based on how bad their lore is. The division scattered "Intel" all over the map that is interesting, personal, and oh my god..IN THE GAME! I don't need an app to read the lore on my own time, I can learn about the outbreak and how it affected people while I shoot one of the many types of enemies?! This is crazy! Anyway, long story short, give the division a shot and stop pandering to Bungie. They'll never be forced to TRY until we make them. You desticles keep blowing them every time they throw you a fragment of that carrot laced with crack they've fed you all, and it's allowed them to become complacent. Peace.

4 RepliesI had more fun in Division than I thought I would, but feel bored of it already, faster than Destiny given the same amount of time. I've done pretty much everything I can in The Division, except 99 DZ level, but that's largely just a boring grind at times. Still like both games for what they are. Both need newer stuff to keep the experience fresh.
