Are nightfalls worth it?
So I normally do nightfalls every week and I did all the nightfalls this week which in my opinion were harder than oryx challenge on hard and I got 3 290 ghost shells and my friends didn't get much either. I think that nightfalls are just a ritual now and people only do them as it reminds them of the times in year 1 when they were a legit pve endgame activity. I think nightfalls should be easier and have 2 settings, easy and hard like a raid and they both have different loot. Also, if you did a hard nightfall it gives you the normal loot as well. This idea is simple and could be very effective so please try to inform bungie of this.

3 RepliesI have a theory that Nightfalls aren't really endgame anymore but more a bridge to endgame. Once you hit a certain level (what seems to be somewhere around 305 or 306), the only reward that is worth is is coins (which is pretty much me saying it's not worth it). So it's like story missions take you to 240-250, strikes 250-270, Heroics 270-280, Nightfall 280-300, NM raid 300-310, HM raid 310-320.

If you want a brand-spanking new sparrow horn that you already have duplicates of, then sure, I guess they're with it. Nightfalls are a lot easier now due to checkpoints, so maybe they adjusted drops accordingly. But back then, Nightfalls could be tedious, and the drops were really bad.

Depends on the RNG. Twilight garrison dropped for me on shield brothers nightfall last wk, and this week armantarium dropped. Just about how lucky you are. If you have terrible luck, not worth. But most nightfall are easy nowadays, so it's only like 30 mins of your time.

I don't know which nightfall you are talking about. but the last 2 (undying mind and Valus T'aric) have been quite possibly the easiest nightfalls ever.

Depends actually. If you are a new player looking at a chance of getting exotics or high level gear then its great. But if you are like me and have all the exotics and all characters over 310 then no. I also have about 200 3oC sitting in my vault. So strange coin is thebonly thing I would.ve interested in. Sometimes the loot is crappy though so you gotta keep that in mind

Maybe when the light lvl increases. Stop doing them after got three under 300 lvl ghost. Months ago.

Yes, if you chase strike specific loot. For those Nightfalls are the best activity you can imagine...

No blue flame. No bonus xp. Craptastic rewards. Year 2 nightfall is an utter failure in my opinion. In year one Nightfall was a ritual. I ran all three characters every week even after there were no more exotics for me to get. Now I pretty much never do nightfalls. 3oC farming is better, and Shaxx bounties already give me a 290 ghost every week, so no need to do nightfall for another 290 ghost.
