Explanation on why you call for nerfs
I have a question for people calling for nerfs.
Why do you do it?
What are your opinions on nerfs?

1 ReplyNerfs are only acceptable in extreme cases IMO. Either something isn't working the way the devs intended or... Hm. I think that's about the only justifiable reason. I play mostly fighting games. The FGC whines a lot less about things. We tend to err on the side of adapting our play style to handle the situation. No nerfs. No buffs. No patches. Simply adapt.

1 ReplyBecause some things are obviously unbalanced and are harmful to the overall enjoyment of the game. The problem is Bungie comes along then and overnerfs the shit out of everything and makes things worse than they were. I don't make nerf threads though, but I won't hesitate to voice my opinion in a reply.

8 RepliesSometimes an item or ability is head and shoulders above the competition, [i]and[/i] the game otherwise has a character you want to preserve (TTK, etc) In those circumstances you have to push down the overpowered stuff, otherwise the character of your game dissolves. EG: Black Lotus in MTG, if that card was allowed in modern you'd need four in every deck. Without it you'd lose, and bringing every other card up to that level would implode the game. EG: Pre Nerf Sunbreakers. The super was so overwhelming you were almost invincible. Buffing other supers to that level would have crippled the neutral game, rendering the gunplay we all love so much meaningless (Who cares if you get 2 or 5 kills as your super charges if you get 5-6 and start chaining orbs immediately after.)
