There seems to be less lag now but the whole thing feels slightly off. Sometimes hits don't register or opponents are intermittently immune to damage. It's very frustrating. I have an excellent connection but still how can I tell if I'm the one being refereed?

Still appears to be an issue. At least from my perspective. Curse my OP 100mb connection.
-
They did break hit detection recently, that's a fact but they haven't admitted it. My melee and blade dancer has what feels like a 75% chance to actually hit

7 RepliesHave you encountered the invisible god-mode though? A friend of mine did. Could only kill or be killed by grenades or explosions. He was also able to steal the enemy's heavy ammo right in front of them and kill them with it.

So I was shooting someone with the last word, anyways the guy keeps on taking hits and I just keep on shooting, turns out I got awarded two kills, one for my target and the other for some other player I didn't see 0-0
-
Noticed this myself. Green bars all around but things aren't quite syncing up.

1 ReplyIts called damage referee. Another of bungies greatest yet most retarded idea..

Red bar.. red bar.. red bar..

1 ReplyI think crucible really sucks for people with bad connections now. I've been having a ball but I'm on Fios in the US. Folks in Australia are not enjoying things as much as me.
-
I'm blaming the new hit detection issues on damage referee messing with things it shouldn't be or improperly targeting players. My hit detection is spotty right now despite having a great connection and always being green bar while the red bars still seem to be god mode.

Yup it's all messed up. It feels weird New Light for Destiny

1 ReplyI emptied a full auto rifle mag on someone last night, they kept coming and got me with a melee. then as I'm dead on the floor, they died and I was awarded postmorterm. I didnt know if i should be angry or amazed.
angry it was.
yeah, pvp feels off movement is either slow or fast, shots not registering, stormcaller lightning chaining across the map hit detection is broken as well

4 RepliesI've been shotgunned, twice, in my bubble with blessing after shotgunning them. Yeah, something's going on.

2 RepliesIt's the damage referee apperantly! Instead of punishing the laggy players, everyone feels it's nasty power!! If anything DAMAGE REFEREE will kill destiny!!!

Edited by DMV Knox: 2/29/2016 5:05:37 PMThe first couple days were good but this weekend it was unplayable at times.

Did you say "something is not right in the crucible?" EVERYTHING IS NOT RIGHT IN THE CRUCIBLE!

Edited by MattUK: 2/29/2016 9:11:26 AMI've been playing intermittently over the last few weeks, I came back just before Christmas and Crucible wasn't nearly as much "fun" as it was in Y1. In general nothing feels quite right, shots and melee hits not registering, people surviving sticky grenades, far more glitching, lag off the the scale. I now know I came back I'm the middle of the SBMM lie and it's obviously still there, even though it's supposedly been dialed back it still takes an obvious lead over connection, the system is more than happy to match me against laggy players of higher skill consistently rather than a good fun fair game and just getting a "roll of the dice" with others skill. Destiny has always had huge favouritism for people with bad connections, in most games they are punished for their dial-up but in Destiny it's a shield, one hit gun, teleporting and other super powers all rolled up in a wrapping of lag. Now I notice previous "red bar" behaviour from yellow bar or even green players, some players TTK seems ridiculously short. I don't know if I'm being refereed but but it would seem odd if I was considering that I always have a green connection to the game and my connection to everything else I've played is great (high up and down speeds and really low pings). I think that it probably boils down to the fact that they have killed Destiny, Bungie have driven away so many players, every "fix" was addressing an issue that didn't exist, breaking something that worked great before. I knew about 30 people who played Destiny on release, only one still plays and none of them are considering buying any more DLC or Destiny 2. Bungie had a golden goose and they have killed it, I suppose they are all rich now so they don't care but still a shame they have destroyed what was a great game.

Edited by LosGatoTejas: 2/29/2016 2:31:35 AMYup. Personally, my observations are two fold. I believe that SBMM still exists under the guise of CBMM. I mean, I feel bungie lowered the criteria of what a "green bar" connection is so more people show it without ACTUALLY changing anything. Two. The matches I have been in are about 90%-95% within 500 points. Like all the time. With different guardians. Different countries. Etc. I do not believe it to be mathematically possible to have that many close games with as many variables in the game. The Devs should win he Nobel prize for game theory if it's possible. Oh sorry, third. If the match is over a 1000 point difference the team leading wins. If under 1000 difference, the trailing team wins. Like 500 points in the last 10 seconds. I think it's all a bunch of BS. Imho

Right! Two rockets hit me! Two! I shook them off and kept on moving with my LMG... Felt like a scum bag.
