Seriously? Crying over every gun. Yet I bet when you're using it it's perfectly fine, but when it gets used against you that's when it's a problem.
Or is it that you're not good enough to get it so you cry for nerfs? Which is it?
Can we go a full month without someone crying to get a gun nerfed?
The Doc is awesome, but it isn't OP in any way. There are plenty of guns that can beat it. This place is just filled with folks who cry for nerfs.
Nerf criers need to be nerfed.
Because now Bungie will nerf it, and well...we've seen how they do their nerfs.

Doctrine is a noobs paradise
-
3 RepliesI use it and it's op af. Anyone else who uses it and thinks otherwise either sucks with it or is lying.
-
gun is not even good,
-
1 ReplyI only dislike doctrine because it can outgun Fabian strategy with front lines active. Other than that it's a balanced gun.
-
2 RepliesWhatever kills them the pvpers beg for a nerf
-
Yeah, Bungie's going to nerf it to the point where it becomes OP at getting assists like the high RoF autos were in Y1. So, I'll have fun with it while it lasts. Personally, I feel it's in a good spot. It's great in the short- to mid-range. I find that it can be beat TLW when it's more mid- than short-range and it loses to things like MIDA, scouts in general, or pulses when the range gets too long. I can get long-ranged kills with it, but normally only when the other guy isn't shooting back (floating Warlocks are the best) or if he's already been damaged. I still do better overall when I'm running with MIDA or my DIS-43 and sometimes my TLW. However, a lot depends on the map. I think it's great that auto rifles have some guns (DoP and Arminus) that are viable right now. The mid-RoF ones aren't bad, but could use another 0.04% boost ( :) )and the low-RoF needs more than that. Pulses could use a slight boost -- and again, more for the low-RoF, less for the mid-RoF, and less than that for the high-RoF. Scouts seem fine, as I have a few that I can use and do as good as I do with MIDA. HC's are just in a weird place with the phantom bullets. If they just fix that, they may become pretty OP as a group, though. So, I'm not sure what they should do there...
-
Not an overpowered weapon class by any means, it's the close range monster as it should be, last word really is the only counter to it.... Like literally the only counter nowadays as scouts are the main meta weapons which will never be optimal for close ranged gunfights so yeah lol, it's that autos aren't worth using aside from that one and they are the only close ranged primaries by design, well with higher impacted hand cannons too but no one uses those
-
Doctrine is pretty fun, I like using it. but I would also say it's a tad over powered
-
Does not Bow. Problem solved.
-
The weirdest thing is that when the Doc hits you you cant or barely hit them back. The shots start missing somehow even though you still aim perfectly. Thats why it wins so many 1v1. Combine this with lag and the weapon is considered OP.

1 ReplyThe top 3 guns in crucible are balanced right now. There is nothing overpowered about Mida, Doctrine or TLW. The only thing that people like myself complain about (at least I hope) is the weapon diversity. I haven't played in a month or two, but I've stayed up to date with everything in the community. Everybody using Mida/Doctrine/TLW and 1k/Conspiracy is not very fun. Here are some ways to fix this: Undo the Hawkmoon nerf Make range more important on pulses, undo pulse damage nerf Increase damage on low and medium RoF auto rifles (more damage on the doctrine archetype might be "problematic"... #radfem) remove thorn from the ga- wait, then what would the sweaty kids use... hmm... requires further testing But as always, Bungie will be Bungie: "Welcome to this week's this week at Bungie featuring a week of weeks! We are proud to announce that we will be buffing Thorn and nerfing Auto Rifles! Also, fusion rifles are getting a damage/mag size/range/stability/reserve ammo/reload speed/existence nerf! Conspiracy Theory-D will be getting a 900% range buff, as well as the 1000 Yard Stare getting bullet magnetism. Happy crucible days, everyone. By the way, to all you PvE players... u fackboiis arent mlg swag yolo 420blazeit enough for us... you have to wait another year for actual content."

3 RepliesEdited by Vinsenneth: 2/25/2016 10:43:11 PMIt's all about the arminius with counterbalance perfect balance/braced frame and whatever else. Had more in the mag and I like the scope just a tad bit better.
-
The range on it is the real problem I understand up close it should shred shít ( which it does ) but when I've got a pulse or a scout and can't stand a chance ( from pulse or scout range ) against it that's when it irritates me

There will always be a meta, and it will always change If balance was really a goal of Bungie, they would have already achieved it. For example: A high rate of fire AR should balance out with a slow rate of fire AR. More damage plus slower rate of fire could very easily match less damage faster rate of fire archetype. Its simple math, adjust the damage and rof to produce the same DPS. The fact that it doesn't means they don't want balance. They want one weapon to perform better than another. Lack of balance and changing meta means: 1. More grinding for players (which in their mind counts as content) 2. Lack of balance drives competition (good for business) 3. Deludes the community (believes they died because a weapon was too powerful, not their lack of skill)

Edited by Mr_Haad: 2/25/2016 10:54:42 PMWell the gunsmith is selling Arminius-D so hopefully the complaints come to an end.
I had 3 of them. Why, you ask? Because I don't neglect my gunsmith rank.

I dismantled 2 of them because the perks were horrendous
16 RepliesNo other Auto Rifle besides other ARs with the same archetype can beat it in a battle between two equally skilled players. That's why. The thing is ridiculously powerful. I don't have one on my account, but I used my friend's on his account. And all I can say is I can't believe how easy it is to score kills with it. It's the only reason I've run Trials recently so I can get one. So compared to other ARs, it's OP. It's about equal to the meta weapons though.

I'll have you know that I've been crying about Doctrine since it came out
-
They better not nerf it. It took me 8 lighthouse visits to get a good one.
-
I agree also doing the gold teir is beyond eaZy do enough and your gona get the stop these DAMM pepole are so freakin freaked up
-
wait until everyone gets their hakke with better stats then doctorine won't even matter anymore
-
Edited by UselessTerror: 2/25/2016 10:13:36 PMI won't complain about doctrine but I will complain about eyasluna! My god. I was being sniped across the map with that gun. It was out shooting the jade rabbit. It hit me once and I was damn near dead and I got two head shots in and He was running at me like a rhino on steroids. I was in tears as I cower behind cover as I hear the bullets fly past my head. Then I thought pfft I can get him as I try to peak around the corner, that raging rhino is now staring at me. Oh...... Oh hello mr warlock. How are y........ *guardian down* It's a little mini sniper.

1 Replyto the people who have a problem with doctrine look at the firerate, you think you can withstand 15 bullets to the dome? that's what I thought. oh and last word I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) has a time to kill of .4 seconds, that's 2-2.5× faster than a doctrine. so what's that telling you?
-
No it doesn't need a damage nerf, but it does need a nerf to how it destroys your ability to aim when going against it.
-
2 RepliesI use Doctrine as my main weapon in PvP these days and I've been outgunned by Mida at close range and TLW outguns it pretty easily if they hit a precision shot. When I'm killed by it it never bothers me. TLW on the other hand, I can't even move and I'm dead.
-
It's all I ever see in Iron Banner these days. So much variety my butt (can't sweat cause of little kids will learn bad words) all I see is Doctrine, Last Word and Mida. You know what I've been using to combat this, Suros PDX. That's right I've been going against the meta, can't stop me now it's too late.
