The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was the reason that I bought my 360. Fallout 4 was the reason that I bought my One.
Bungie could seriously learn a thing or two from how Bethesda implemented Fallout 4's legendary loot drops. RNG done right.

Edited by BossTherapy: 3/2/2016 6:48:17 AMreally? dumb reason to buy a console came out on ps3 I 1080p..and we'll pc best version period when it comes to those games..if you said a console exclusive would make sense but seriously game looks and plays better on pc and a ps4 silly reason to buy a Xbox one..there's about 30 better reasons to buy a Xbox one over a ps4 and I own a ps4 that game is not one fallout 4 obviously I'm speaking about...haven't owns a Xbox since the real xbox

5 RepliesShould have bought/built a PC Bethesda games are wasted on consoles.
-
Rng that bungie tried to create on their own, not make one type of rng then copy and paste it over and over again, atleast destiny has more than 5 enemies, its not super mutants, robots, and the humans that always suck, besides Bethesda makes a set number of weapons that all usually have the same perks but can be upgraded
-
2 RepliesSure.. Completely forget how incompetent Bethesda is with debugging their games and failing to optimize their games on console.. Bungie may have put out an incomplete product, but at least it wasn't terribly unplayable.

21 RepliesPeople are comparing apples and oranges here: Oblivion and Fallout 3 & 4 vs Destiny? Let's pit like against like here. ESO vs Destiny as both are online titles. I will now give seven solid reasons why Bethesda > Bungie by comparing The Elder Scrolls Online with Destiny. 1. Elder Scrolls Online has such a massive abundance of content and challenges. Destiny has nothing much beyond the Raids and the Lighthouse. 2. ESO has so many items to collect and make, whilst Destiny fans are desperately waiting for the next bunch of exotic items to drop which are mostly not as good or interesting as their Y1 offerings. 3. Character customisation in Destiny is limited to subclasses and a few alternate choices within each; ESO offers massive depth to help players to create the kind of character they want. 4. Multiplayer. Although it has gotten better recently, Destiny is a lagfest even with only 12 players connected. ESO features a truly immersive massive PvP environment in Cyrodiil and the Imperial City. Sure it has lag, too, but that is kind of forgivable when you can have massive battles with 100s of players involved at once. 5. Server provision: ESO has dedicated servers and Destiny does not. No further elaboration needed. 6. Story: whilst both are fairly linear, ESO has a deep story experience with many interesting characters. Destiny has a limited narrative with 2-dimensional, cardboard personalities. 7. DLC: Destiny Y1 DLC offered little in the way of story progression and replayability. TDB has a broken half-assed raid with hardly any narrative, whilst Imperial City offered a whole new way to play, with PvE and PvP combined, as well as two tough veteran level dungeons. In fact, Destiny DLC is so poor that the tent pole expansion, the Taken King has less content than either Imperial City or Orsinium. It is also worth noting that it cost more on release than both of the latter combined. There you are, seven point that demonstrate Bethesda > Bungie. Have at it.

You can't really compare the drop rates of a single player RPG to a multiplayer whatever. You can, however, compare it to borderlands or diablo. Which have much better loot rules.
-
1 ReplyBungie should work with gearbox for destiny content and adjustments. Imagine destiny with gear and weapon variability like borderlands....

Bethesda and bungie are equally bad

Obsidian>Bethesda. Holding out hope that they do with Fallout 4 that they did with Fallout 3, giving us NV. Though, given 4 is built on the same engine as 3 and NV, it seems unlikely.

Halo 2 was the reason I got a Xbox Halo 3 was the reason I got a 360 My friends ditching 360 for next gen is the reason I got a one.

The shit I had this morning > Bunghole

Fallout 4 was really bad. I traded it in after a week. It was such a disappointment. Not that destiny is better cause it's not. MGV and the witcher have been the best games I've played this year.

1 ReplyI have to give it to Bungie because I bought my Xbox consoles for the Halo series. Which Bungie created.
-
But there needs to be more named uniques, like the deliverer and the rail way gun and alien blaster (props to them though about letting us shoot it with fusion cells)
-
44 RepliesYa but is anyone still playing fallout 4, 3 months later? No. Are people still playing destiny a year and half in? Yes. Clearly bungie did something right. Go outside, take in the fresh air and clear your head of this stupidity.

Edited by pi_flavor: 2/29/2016 9:12:29 PMYes but i do not like the legendary drops they are never good and just add weight
-
well if bungie had an idea how a loot system is supposed to work yeh. but they don't and will forever be subpar.
-
Bethesda are excellent developers, only old Bungo rivals them in terms of storytelling. But I think that Bungo has always had the edge in gameplay and mechanics
-
5 RepliesFallout 4 is complete trash, GTFO here with that garbage of a game.

Atari>Bungie
