Everybody thinks that ________ takes no skill. Will the community please enlighten me as to what you think takes skill nowadays? Argue about it below if you want.
Fine, Edit: *Everybody is claiming that practically every weapon in this game takes no skill.*
i shouldn't have had to do that edit, but you know... The Internet
Edit: a semi trending post shouldn't be vulgar. Removing any of it.
Edit:300+ replies and not really trending? What gives? Whatever.

It takes skill to admit that what just killed you wasn't because that thing is broken...it was because you made a mistake.

Apparently this community thinks that hidden hand aims the gun and pulls the trigger for you, making sniping virtually auto-piloted.

The question isn't about being skilled with an item in the game. It's about being skilled at video games period. Anyone with good eye-hand coordination and an good understanding of the video game's mechanics can be called a skilled player. I've seen skilled players play Destiny, CoD, Halo and other FPS games with similar skills. The weapons had little influence on their abilities to be skilled at video games.

2 RepliesI say No Land Beyond is true test of skill. I have been told that is has a lot of aim assist but it also takes a lot of practice to master

1 ReplyReading these forums and not getting triggered takes great skill.

Halo used to take skill. Not sure about halo 5 haven't played it and probably wont... halo died for me at halo 4.

6 Replies100% perfect run on Through the Fire and Flames on hyper speed mode.... I'd say more mutant than skill, but holy -blam!- that's something special

Skill is comparing yourself to others. But in game where there is so many different OP and UP (under powered) guns it is hard to tell. So to answer your question: Putting yourself at a severe disadvantage and beat out all the OP shit.

Shhhhhhh, sensitive info inside...
EVERYTHING TAKES SKILL TO SOME EXTENT. Until there's a gun that literally aims for you, stop complaining and actually try to get good at the game instead of whining and blaming your faults on everyone and everything else! //rant
1 ReplyIt takes true skill to not cry out for nerf every 5 seconds. (Nerf- aka, asking bungie to dumb down the game instead of building it up) It also takes skill (apparently) to not be a jack ass to every other player... But maybe that's just me.

Edited by Zjura: 2/22/2016 4:39:53 PMBloodbourne and other games from the Souls series takes evasive and parry skills. Games like XCOM take tactical skills and alot of strategic planning between missions. Jet games like Ace Combat takes alot of forward thinking because you have to adjust to different situations on the fly. This however varies between different games of this particular series but it's much more evident in flight simulators such as War Thunder. MMO's like FF14 re-enforces communication/ cooperative skills as well as various life skills within the game. Fighting games in general use combos but depending on the type, players can utilize animation canceling to come up with their own combos such as Street Fighter or the dynamic Blaz Blue or Guilty Gear series. Games like Monster Hunter take various skills; from dodging, to making an efficient build, to preparation before going off on a hunt, and communication if your in a group. Bullet Hell takes skill, period. Edit: Can't really speak for Destiny. Not much of an FPS player. I'm just a jack of all games. I personally don't find Destiny engaging if that's what you mean by skill. But that's cause I usually play games that are more fast paced like Warframe. In terms of engagement it all depends on personal preference. But personally, if I can snipe anyone rushing unawares into battle. It is either assumed this game takes no skill, or everyone in PvP don't know how to take cover.
