Stopped raiding because of Jumping segments
Is there any body in this boat? Ive done normal KF about 4-5 times, but stopped. Reason being is that I dread the jumping segments. I'd have nights where I would blitz the ships. Then there would be nights where i would hold the entire raid back as I just wasn't hitting it. The entire time I would be dreading getting to golg jumping section or being selected as relic runner. It's just the pressure I couldn't deal with. All the other parts of the raid was fine (shooting and rotation mechanics).
I am just wondering is there anyone else who has given up on the raid because of this?

In Kings fall it feels like we are only fighting mechanics, and not actual bosses. This is a first person shooter, not a puzzle game! Jump puzzles are fun the first time around the raid, maybe the second... After a while it gets quite boringly repetitive!

Edited by B: 2/13/2016 9:32:10 AMYou can be pulled (on the ship section) by teammates to the next checkpoint. On the dick wall just go to orbit and come in at the daughters. As for running the relic, just pray you aren't torn. On oryx it can be avoided.

6 RepliesIt's really not difficult to jump/glide. They include these sections to break up the pace of the raid. If people are unable to time & manage a jump then I worry how they fare in the rest of the game.

4-5 times is not enough to get good at it. Most ofnus still die at least once a reset.

Lfg checkpoint - why even bother having to do the jumping puzzles Totem -golgoroth Sisters and Oryx. Never jump again! It's just padding anyway. [spoiler]that said I'll always be a fan of the vog jumping puzzle[/spoiler]

Totally agree with you, I've done the raid and completed the jump puzzle on my Hunter, but hated every part of jumping from ledge to ledge, ship to ship... All the time thinking " is this really the only way they could make the raid longer?" VOG had a jump puzzle but it was only small and didn't take to much time, also had Gorgons which was fun. Kf jump puzzles just showed lack of imagination, and felt it was just thrown in to slow you up.

3 RepliesI'm resigned to accepting the fact that I will never complete KF. I started playing this game in November 2014 and I got addicted. TTK and the jumping puzzles ruined this game, for me. It went from FPS to jumping and racing. They really screwed up.

Haven't done the raid from the start in months. I can do it just fine, I just find it tedious & pointless. Totem checkpoint for the win.

Hell. I've never fully done the one for VOG. I hit the first three then make a leap of faith with my titan. I can see how they would be tedious. If your with a good group it be fun, comical.

1 ReplySame, I hate the jumping if I wanted to jump all around I'd play that type of game. When shooting is the second fiddle to jumping it's an issue to me.
