Stopped raiding because of Jumping segments

Is there any body in this boat? Ive done normal KF about 4-5 times, but stopped. Reason being is that I dread the jumping segments. I'd have nights where I would blitz the ships. Then there would be nights where i would hold the entire raid back as I just wasn't hitting it. The entire time I would be dreading getting to golg jumping section or being selected as relic runner. It's just the pressure I couldn't deal with. All the other parts of the raid was fine (shooting and rotation mechanics). I am just wondering is there anyone else who has given up on the raid because of this? EDIT FOR POST COMMENTS: Thanks for the tips to all the genuine people. What I have learned from the naysayers is the following (in no particular order, so I may I present to you a brief screenshot of Elitism on the internet/Destiny and how it looks in 2016.... *if this was in a Star Wars text crawl it would be amazing I suck I am very morose (sad). So ya know...tear face and all that I am actually joking and this all one big lol One must "git gud" (yay for english) They are actually pretty easy - apparently my struggle is all in my head? Play Mario People NEVER (and I mean NEVER) fail at these segments. I'm Gay- Even if I was why would this be a bad thing- sorry I am confused I am young (37 but thanks for the compliment)

  • I have found personally at oryx and sisters jumping is very easy to do. I just hold my left stick forward the whole time while sprinting so you never have to stop then Learn to time the jumps with each toon. Hunter I feel is the easiest and most forgiving Cuz if you step off you can jump back on. But all of them have their perks.

  • Hey man if you wanna team up sometime and see if we can get checkpoints for the jumping puzzles im down to spend some time teaching them to you. Or if you want to get through the raid with a patient group let me know. My clan is pretty chill and stuff :)

    • I always just find someone with glyphs or later CP as the beginning of the raid is so god awful boring! And 99% of the time now i just do the challenge CP and thats it.

    • Just keep practicing, the muscle memory will eventually kick in. I do all jumping parts with ease nowadays but I've been raiding ttk 3 times a week since it came out.

    • I actually think the platforming is the best part in Kings Fall, I had a blast the first time I did ships. The 1st jumping segment though...easily the lamest part.

    • Its amazing how easy some players make it look. Was watching slaverage the other day and he had a warlock and at the second jumping puzzle he just busted on up the wall and invisible platforms to get a chest like he was just walking on flat ground.

        • I totally agree. I wish that the jumping portion(s) were explore-able via patrol. I'd love to be able to explore and figure out the timing and where to go without being that one person holding everyone up at these puzzles. I have only attempted the raid twice. Luckily the guys we went through the raid with were patient and extremely helpful getting us all through. Unfortunately by the time we got to the Daughters the first time and then Oryx the second time the team was burnt and we all called it quits. So I have yet to finish the raid, and I directly attribute this due to how long it took us to get through the jumping puzzles.

        • Don't feel bad op the raid has no relevance in this game except to randomly drop gear that may or may not raise your light lvl. Even if you do reach 320 what then?? There is no reward unlocked ,no special gear or mission ,nothing. Its just a grind fest to hopefully get something you need to get to 320. So don't feel bad you truly are missing nothing but heartburn. Oh and the jumping crap really has no point in raid anyways was a dumb concept to begin with. Ill play mario if I want to jump around.

        • You can be pulled through the ship bit. Practise makes perfect though, dude. No-one nailed it first time.

I'm 39, not gay, have a life and family. I hate jumping puzzles, just have to practice them. You just have to find a good group that will help you when needed.

Nothing makes me cringe in this game more than the jumping puzzles. I'm terrible at them, I get too wrapped up in my head about embarrassing myself. My anxiety issues are relieved by much of this game, but that's really the only thing that makes it worse. Along with sbmm, it killed my interest in the game, and I moved on. The elites can say anything they want about it, chances are they are neckbeards who do nothing but game. Those with lives, or "filthy casuals," keep this game running, though. The forums are filled with the shouty minority. Every person who posted a rude response to your post is miserable in life. The only thing that can make them feel any better is to make others miserable. That doesn't make it ok, but at least you know that regardless of what they say in response to calling them out, they sleep alone, or with someone who will leave because they are tired of negativity and immaturity. If they are children they have been ignored by parents and bought by false trophies. It's a sad and sobering thought. Ps: if you are about to post a nasty response; I appreciate you proving a point, and I hope you get help! Change yourself now, there is still a chance for a happy life.

          • Honestly man its really not tough to do. If you can play the game with a minimal amount of skill and have a decent memeory, pair that with a tiny bit of patients, it's a very easy thing to do. I'm not telling you that you suck or being negative, I'm just saying if you're in the raid and being some what successful with beating the bosses, then the jumps should be the easy part. I hate the jumping parts due to the fact that bungie did it just to be a time sink. They o ut them in the raid just to keep people in it as long as possible. First couple of times it was fun and I enjoyed it, but after I've beat it 3x a week since release, and even more some weeks helping people out, it's extremely old and unnecessary part of the raid. My group can do the jumps without dying and reseting at any point and the jumps are the longest part of the raid. Again, don't give up. Keep going and trying and get better at it. It's very easy.

          • Take it from a pro who does hard raid 3 times a week and hates jumping platformers. When I get to Golgoroth, I announce to everyone that this is my pit stop, leave and rejoin at daughters. I give ship jumping one try, if I don't make it, just wait to get pulled through. Hardest part of the raid for me is sisters of course.

          • You shouldn't let it stop you from raiding dude, keep at it you'll get it down eventually. The only other thing I would say (not too sure if someone else already has) is there that should be a practice section for this. The fact that you have to have at least 3 other people just to practice the Sister/Oryx jumping section is stupid. Hope you go back to it Guardian.

          • Get 3 across, 2 on the plates 1 running to the elevator beam thingie.. bam, every body teleported to the totem section. You dont need to cross it, go pee and get a drink and let the dudes who dig it finish that part. At the penis jumping, use your sword if your struggelin. Jump the wall, slash, jump, slash etc. Sisters relic runner on normal, just kill yourself

          • The jumping segments can be mastered and also can be the most fun parts of the raid. It's sad to me that that something so small keeps you from enjoying a great raid.

          • Dude, you're not alone. I main a titan so I've no excuse but I've lost count of the times I've held my raid team up at the sisters. The ships and the dick maze I can handle fine, my issue is when it comes to the sisters I get the sweats incase i become torn (and for whatever reason it's nearly always me). I think it's because I find it difficult to adapt to jumping in 3rd person view. Wipe. Wipe. Wipe. Wipe. Bleh.

I enjoy the jumping on all classes, the penis pistons is made worthwhile as there is a chest in the middle, the ships is missing that (or is it?)
