When's the last time you actually killed someone with a lightning grenade?
I find that these things are completely useless. They spark away and enemies standing right next to them take no damage.
Edit: OK. OK. I get it. Y'all love these grenades. That's fine, no need to hurl insults at me. Thanks to those who gave advice on how to use them more effectively. I just find that most opponents are aware of them and unless cornered easily avoid them.

I have found that I literally can't get them to land anywhere I need them to. I throw it at a wall and it'll find the crack or hole or chair or lighting fixture that was completely invisible from where I was standing when I threw it and the grenade will stick straight up in the air doing nothing and wasting my cooldown. Now, when I play my warlock it's completely different. A grenade gets thrown next to me on the ground and I sprint away...it still kills me. I have a screenshot of a grenade killing me from 20 or so feet away. It was on the ground, sticking straight up, and I was nowhere near it. Oh well, at least it's no skip grenade. Tag someone with literally any gun in the am and throw a skip anywhere at any angle and that person you tagged is dead. Maybe his friends, too. Skip and Firebolts are a much bigger issue to me than any other mechanic in the game.

Stick it to a wall. Are you trying to get the cone to tic horizontally? They cover a wide area and deal instant brutal damage. Keep practicing with it as they are imo the #1 grenade of any class and subclass

As a max armor titan I was shoulder charged by another titan, backed up outta melee range, threw one of these babies on the wall behind him and got the kill with 1 hp left.

If you think lightning is bad? Wait till you try spike nade.

Gotta stick them on walls man. Great if you flank, throw it on the wall behind them then lay in. They are usually so focused on you shooting at them they don't notice the grenade. Many multikills. Or if your charging in head first? Throw it on the back wall, while your still out of range of the grenade then business as usual. Find yourself in an "o shit" situation where your being pinched? Block off a door with a grenade, focus on unobstructed guardian, then reposition for when your grenade is complete. Running from someone? Break eye contact, toss against a wall when they are about to turn in (best of done in air) then they are half health and you have the advantage. The best grenades in the game if used right. It's not always about the grenade kills, it's all the things I just mentioned.

You can literally close your eyes and throw one randomly and you are unlucky not to get a kill. They are one of the top 3 grenades in destiny imo.

I am a Titan main since I bought this game and I could tell you these grenades are one of the many amazing perks and grenades in the striker skill nodes and abilities. I use them for three reasons. Zoning (keeping them away from objectives), traps (As in to bait people to chase but as they close in throw a lightning grenade to the wall), and to keep enemies away when you are weak. Using aftermath is great as well even if it's one more extra tick. If you need advanced tips PM me and I can teach you. If you are on PS4 then I could show you. I am just trying help fellows Titans out because I remember feeling so lost in PvP back in year 1 until I have learned by myself how to use the striker effectively. Playing Defender is also my niche so I could help Titans play better with them also.

Not in awhile... Kinda hard to use in open areas. Unless you are a pro at throwing those nades on the ground accurately to dish out some serious damage.

I get caught off guard by them occasionally. They'll stick to something in a weird direction, so when I Blink away, I end up right back in it.

They're fantastic in PVE. Chuck them at a door with streams of Thrall coming out. RIP all those Thrall. Chuck them at a bosses feet. Zap. Even better with Armamentium.

If you have good aim you can get multi kills... And i'm bad at striker too

Triple kill first round of trials. They work once you get the hang of where to put them...mainly on walls

5 RepliesArmamentarium has lead to some hilarious round one team wipes in trials. Basically the better you are with tripmines the better you'll be with lightning grenades and vice versa.

When playing trials against players who are huddled up (for whatever reason) behind cover it's especially fun to throw one where it's hitting all 3 and get a wipe from an easily avoidable grenade. I love these things. Just have to take time to learn when they're effective.

I always used them on my stormcaller. I use them more to make people flee or soften targets. Also good to throw if your being rushed. More of a tactic to force a move than cause damage.

Just gotta learn how to use them. All about attached to walls and closing off exit and entrance points. Trap people. If your lightening grenade lands on ground you wasted it.
