For me, Atheon is the hardest if all the raids were the same light level.

Sunbreaker Titans with their super activated.

1 ReplyOut of those for me it's Crota. I know it's really easy, but I could never seem to get a fire team that knew what they were doing.
-
8 RepliesI can't believe so many people voted for Aetheon. That's just sad. I know that it wasn't a raid, but post patch Skolas was the hardest endgame boss.

1 ReplyYellow bar hive in cosmodrome, during beta. Invincible. And the blind thrall are pretty tough on dreadnaught.

Assuming everything was the same light level, Atheon. I can't tell you week one how difficult is was for teams to actually manage to take down the Minotaur inside the portal, if that thing was 300-310 light some teams would have a serious problem. Not to mention oracles being much stronger (and not having vision/corrective in y2 to shred them) would mean most teams would need to be bringing in machine guns with ammo boots. Oryx is definetly hard, but once you know what to do there is very little in the fight that can actually kill you (lookin at you tomb ship...) plus nobody is having to switch roles on the fly. The biggest reason Atheon would be the hardest though is complacency, we've all decimated Atheon hundreds of times now, we're not used to what if felt like for him to be hard again.

Currently I would say hard VOG based on being level 29-30 and doing it originally, KF hard mode could change that.

So many people saying Soklas, but they seem to forget his encounter was nerfed. Now his fight is just really lengthy but not difficult. To this day I still find players who are terrible at Atheon just because they can't have a single role. At least Oryx they worry about one plate and one bomb.

1 ReplyHardest thing I've done do far has been skolas

Who the -blam!- said- eh... Yeah I guess Atheon would kick our shit in at 300

The black garden

None of them are difficult at all.

10 RepliesOryx because if not everyone is experienced then you're gunna have a bad time.
-
2 RepliesProbably Oryx. I say probably because he's still new, so that might cause interference. After all, Crota was difficult when he was new. Oryx's fight actually requires everybody to do something. Atheon's fight is similar in that regard, though not to the extent of Oryx. Crota is just a one man show where everyone but swordbearer pretty much just sits there and looks pretty. I'd like to give Skolas an honorable mention, because his fight requires lots of communication and constant participation from your fireteam.

Skolas. In all those other raids there's five other people contributing and a bad player can just kind of play from the sidelines. That wasn't possible in Skolas. Everyone had to know what they were doing
-
1 ReplySkolas.
-
3 RepliesCrota because of the amount of glitching and stupid crap that happens. No boss does more wacky things than him.
-
5 RepliesXylar by a mile. Doing the splits whilst spinning and throwing a nova bomb is insane.

Where is Xylar?

Edited by Haknir: 10/20/2015 12:03:57 PMWho remembers Templar when you're at level with him? That was the hardest boss

4 RepliesAtheon was a cakewalk compared to Skolas. If one person dies on Atheon, it's ok, you can still keep going. If one person dies on Skolas, usually within the next 5 seconds, you heard, "well I'm fucked" *Guardian Down*

Honestly, none of them are too bad once you know what you're doing. Crota hard mode was made artificially difficult with all of the glitching that happened for months.
