So which is it? Personally it falls 1. COD, Anything after the OG Modern Warfare, but arguments can be made than W@W and MW2 were good too. Beyond that though, crap. 2. Destiny. Ugh don't need to explain this one. 3. Assassin's Creed. An old favorite of mine which kind of went down hill after Ezio. I liked Black Flag too, but may never try another one after Unity. 4. Battlefield. Just thought this may fit too. Nothing tops bad company 2 though. Oh what're some real franchises???.... 1. Fallout. New Vegas hurt, but Fallout 3 may be one of the best games ever. 2. Elder Scrolls. Forgetting ESO exists, Skyrim and Oblivion were absolute gems. Backwards compatability on the one needs to bring Skyrim and FAST. 3. Uncharted. Storytelling and solid game play all in one package and an all time favorite for me. 4. Halo. Personally huge into 1 and 2 then I left XBOX and people tend to say 4 wasn't great and they're worried about 5. HM : The Last of Us. This may be one but it is not a franchise yet. If Naughty Dog churns out a few more of these and crushes it like they did, it may be an all time great and certainly a console seller. [spoiler]Lastly oops I did it again. Although some real opinions in here. This is just to get people all fired up once they see DESTINY up top. But I doubt most will get past that and they'll get hooked. So I'm gonna be open with this one. [/spoiler] Edit: I am not surprised by the poll at all! I also admit to the omission of GTA as a real franchise while HMs should also be given to Bioshock, Borderlands and Mass Effect Edit 2: from Wikipedia "Destiny marked Bungie's first new franchise since the Halo series, and the developers have a ten year plan for the franchise." Edit 3: I guess a disclaimer was needed. I DID NOT HATE FALLOUT NEW VEGAS. It just wasn't the tremendous follow up to 3 I wanted. By all means I played the shit out of it and enjoyed it, just not as much as 3.
