As the title says I managed level 32 in 70 hrs how hard was it to get to highest level (before crota) for you day oners
Edit 1 a lot of people seem to think I'm goading them here...It was a genuine question how hard was it before the dlc to get to top level?
Edit 2
Wow some people really are but hurt over this lol
Edit 3
Wow I mean really I was only asking lol think I will have to be nicer on my noob posts lol
Edit 4
Have I been carried through the game or is is 70 hrs a long time to complete as I keep getting negative comments on both lol surely it's one or the other ha ha
Bloody hell I have just gotten a new chest peice on my warlock with intellect my other one didn't have intellect so iv been doing the bounties to level it up lol

1 Reply9,5 hours titan but only 28 actually in 30 min he gets legendary boots so he can be at 12 hours 31
-
1 ReplyCongrats! I'm glad you made it to L32. It's not a race, though. You play, have fun and level up.
-
5 RepliesI'm glad to have spent every hour on the game I have. I'm over 1000 hours on my warlock I think. It doesn't bother me at all.
-
4 RepliesYou're late to the game man, everyone noticed immediately when the DLC dropped. It was much harder before because VOG had a worse drop rate, they corrected the problem by making crotas drop rate higher. Either way none of the drops are "skill based", we're talking RNG here so I've never seen the point in bragging or complaining about it. Some will advance with minimal effort, some wont advance even with extreme effort.

Not annoyed. Many day 1ers were were already beyond lvl 20 after the first day.
-
1 ReplyCall me crazy...but i miss the grind... farming resources (chests) every so once and a while you'd get a legendary engram... back before there was a youtube video for everything.. when you had to find your own routes and farming spots... the loot cave... the daily heroics were beneficial.... i remember equipping a new piece of blue gear and being excited... so many things non day oners will never have experienced
-
10 RepliesCongrats to you on that but you obvious wanted to start something by saying "how do you day one players feel?" or whatever. Lol to answer your question it wasn't hard to get top level before TDB dlc it just took Alot more time because you had to go to each planet go farm spin metal, helium filaments, spirit bloom, and relic iron.
-
1 ReplyOn a serious note, good job. Took my 2nd and 3rd character around the same amount of time.
-
1 ReplyMade a fresh hunter for the first time I have it to lvl 26 in under 7 hours, need to grind roc strikes to get my gear up and hit up the raids
-
2 RepliesBut do you have everything on the game. Nope.
-
3 RepliesEdited by Curls: 4/15/2015 7:34:53 AMIt is easier now, what with the vendor gear putting you up to 31 and the higher drop rate in Crota's End. That being said though, you did still have to raid to get some of the armour, so the hostility here isn't completely warranted. The main difference between now and pre-DB is the drop rate in the Vault of Glass. To this day and after numerous Vex Mythoclasts and Fatebringers I still have never received the Kabr's Wrath Chest Piece...what can you do haha?
-
3 RepliesBut are you a good player? That's the question. Can you solo Nightfalls and strikes and hold relics and bear swords and do dailys and weeklys alone? Can you switch it up and hit up PvP and lay down 5 wins in a row and get 25 or more kills a match? Can you even generate more than 8 orbs?
-
It's definitely easier now compared to pre dlc. I made a hunter a week ago from scratch, started on a weekend and played a few hours each day. Don't know the total Time before hitting the 32 but it was less than 30 hours. The items needed to upgrade are also a lot easier to obtain than pre dlc where you had to grind patrol on different worlds to get enough. So people shouldn't be mad, it's just how the game has changed

7 RepliesGo play VoG on hard with a group of just you as a 32 and 5 29's, and then don't buy any materials from the vendors (spinmetal, helium coils, etc.) or do dailys or patrol missions to get those mats either and let us know what you think...
-
1 ReplyWell, most people were stuck on 25-26 for a long time, there was a serious lack of accented shards and energies.
-
4 RepliesIt can be done in a few hours but congrats.
-
Not really. Made a titan and got it to 32 in a week. Took about 20 hours of gameplay to get it to 32
-
1 ReplyThe days where it took 1 hour to get 20 relic iron and mats that you can buy for marks now in the tower are something i will always cherish.
-
3 RepliesWhy must scrubs post on here. Its impossible to get to 32 in that length of time, you suck at the game, don't post on forums again. Yours sincerely, The Truth
-
2 RepliesIt actually wasn't that bad at the time I think the real grind started at crota .... And although u made 32 in however many hours I can personally tell u that level means nothing in this game.... Put u and a day one gamer in a match and I will tell u who is who ... It's about skill and expierience ... Most day one gamers know destiny inside out and will solo EVERYTHING .. We don't demand 32s for vog coz we don't care about level.... Get some insight into the game before u try comparing yourself to us :)
-
2 RepliesIt wasn't just the grind for the gear. The struggle for ascendant mats and planetary materials was real too. The drop patterns were horrible for armor. IMO it's sad cause noobs don't appreciate how easy they've got it now. Lots changed in 7 months.
-
Lol what be more worse if get a gally now..
-
1 ReplyI'd be mad if you said you got full VoG armor in that time. Now that was a grind
-
70 hrs is super long. U suck
-
3 RepliesNot annoyed at all, but you know what does annoy me, that this is such an obvious post to get attention and to create more negativity in an already very negative community. It's unfortunate that a new player has come in just to create more angst on an already angst ridden game. I wish you all the best and I hope you enjoy playing, I also hope that you dont become just another member that I have to mute.
