Rank 48 Dead Orbit.
Every once in awhile I post my progress on trying to get the Revenant Shader. (No, I don't have it)
Today I reached rank 48 Dead Orbit and got another ascendant energy to add to my collection. This has been a grind since I was rank 2 and it will soon come to an end once I hit rank 50 with or without the shader. I'm moving on to FWC.
Throughout these 48 ranks, here are my most valued drops. Don't let these drops discourage you, most people don't have to rank up this much to get items, just the unlucky few.
Rank 40 - The Fermi Solution - The best reward in my opinion
Rank 45 - The Hanged Man - A decent Black and white shader
Worst Drops

At least 10 pieces of armor for a different class.
To everyone else out there grinding. How has it been for you so far? I know there's worse stories than this out there.

I got bitter steel at rank 10 which I was very happy about. It goes very well with my titan's ruin wings.

3 RepliesI got Revenant at rank 39, then Bittersteel at rank 55-60. Nothing else though. The Hanged Man and The Nowhere are rarer shaders.

I forget what rank I am now ( I think high 20s) I have revenant and bitter steal but that's about it. I will never defect from my beloved dead orbit though.

3 RepliesI have around 70 ranks with dead orbit through 6 characters with no shader. I now wear new monarchy cloak.

I'm at rank 9 and I got revenant at rank 8. No weapons yet just armor I didn't need

3 RepliesDead Orbit rank 10. Still no shaders whatsoever. I have been gifted Venation III (before the attack value increase) and the Deviant Gravity-A, both of which I love. Crappiest gift has definitely got to be a faction emblem. Only nice shader I've received from ranking up rep has been Arctic Proxy from the Cryptarch ... got two of those.

I've noticed the drop rates and rewards seem to have gotten much worse since Crota came out too (or maybe its just that leveling feels like it now takes longer). Either way, I used to expect a weapon or good drop but now I just prepare myself for a commendation and some energy. Good legendary rolls on drops honestly feel more difficult to obtain than exotics now.

I'm rank 16 on my Hunter and rank 8 on my Titan and haven't received a shader as yet. The only decent weapon I've gotten was a Venation III hand Cannon pre DLC. Recently, I keep getting chest pieces for my Hunter, I think 4 so far. So annoying.

11 RepliesIn no way should faction class emblems be a reward for leveling up a faction. Seriously you can buy all of these things why are they a reward. One of the major flaws in my opinion. Nothing bothers me more than when I'm rewarded with one of these stupid emblems.

I got Revenant from Dead Orbit rank 8, I got so lucky

I'm 18 with DO, got Bittersteel at rank 12. Early on I got a really good PVP Fusion Rifle, I still use it sometimes though Light of the Abyss is a little better now. So many helmets.

Have all the dead orbit shaders,still trying to get the fermi solution. Think I am currently rank 17/18

I've gotten 2 revanants and a bitter steel. Been with dead orbit since day one. I might've been one of the first with it I think since I got it at lvl15

That sucks, I got 2 bittersteels and the rest is garbage. I wouldn't be able to put up with 48 ranks. Only level 13 or 14 but if don't get another shader next time I'm going to new monarchy

New monarchy rank 5. At rank 3 got the sniper, rank 4 got the hand cannon.
