Did you Solo Xyor to get your Thorn?
Just curious.
I always see people asking for help with the special Summoning Pits strike. But to be honest I didn't think it was that hard. Took me about 45 minutes solo.
Edit: Just to be clear, I did the strike with a lvl 30 Hunter. Props to those of you saying you soloed it as a 26 or even as a 25!

Yep. If you're 29+ there's no reason you can't solo it. Especially since it's from one of the longer but easier bounties in the game.

Hell no me and my friends went in, rose hell spawned xyor, went to the room in front of shrieker, waited there till our weapons were lowered... then went full badass on xyors ass, playing black in back over the mic. I used my prestige iv. Didnt have a ghorn back then lol it was epic.

Yeah I think I was 26 or 27 so it was rough.

1 ReplyFirst time took me about 90 mins, and my gf turned it off as xyor spawned. Second time solo'd it in about half an hour

I soloed it when i was a 28, took a a long damn time tho.

I solo'd it,not sure what level I was, 28 I think, took about an hour but I didn't activate the ship spawns for ages. That part took me 45mins alone. You have to get the ghost to say "at least its chained up". It did test my patience n 100% wasn't worth it, for a shard :)

Solo. Took a few attempts to get the rhythm for clearing the groups of enemies and then getting phogoth's health down to get the ships to spawn but once I did it was easy apart from arc-shielded sword knights...

I have done it 4 times solo. It was a pain but it is doable. The hardest part is dealing with those damn Shielded Knights and acolytes with their damn boom sticks. Stupid bastards. The wizards I roasted with Voc and Dragons Breath, not that hard.

I did it at 27 it was my first exotic bounty and my only other exotic was plan c

After I few attempts I managed to solo it. Wasn't worth it way back when cause thorn wasn't a great gun back then

Yes, way back at 28 I think. Thank god I didn't dismantle my icebreaker as using it made me realize how awesome it was.

Nope had 2 other buddies that had the bounty also.

Nope, just finished the bounty with my bro and another Guardian. Helped him get it too.

Took me forever to do it but yes. Solo'd it.

I did it the first time when my warlock was 28. As a void walker too because my sunsinger was unleveled at that point.

Yes and no I had the help first time round but for my second thorn I couldn't find anyone took me about 35 minutes to clear. Now working on my third
