So, I need help with these questions.
What are the pros and cons of each class?
How does race affect anything?
What class is good?
What class is fun?
What class takes skill?
What class do you play as?
So these are my questions.
Thank you to anyone that answers.
Edit: I will be playing as a rogue because they sound fun but now I need to decide the race. I have narrowed it down to Dwarf or Qunari.
Which do you think is a better race and why?
And is the Qunari armor glitch true?
(Armor is stuck on your character all game)
Is it true?

Does anyone have a solid build for an archer assassin? I personally love the assassin rogue class for both dagger and bow ( though bow is a bit experimental right now). Its the high burst damage, single target dps for rogues. Tempest I've heard is less subtle but more situation based with their potions. I've also heard the Tempest subclass has a bit more defense, but I have not checkdd for myself.

I have a qunari and have had no armor glitch issues.

1 ReplySo I'm stuck and I can't tell if the game is glitched or im just an idiot. I just completed a mission for the horse masters, stable boy where I have to set up 3 watch towers, but I can't find where to turn it in. I've been back to the main city to visit the war room, but the gates are locked. Do I need to claim the other couple of territories for the inquisition, to stop the fighting between the mages and Templars before the gates open?? Thanks

Qunari glitch -false

16 RepliesI'm going into classes because you can play as all of them by controlling a different party but I will say the mage companions are terrible hint: play as a mage so you don't have to take them with you. Human: Extra ability point Quanari: 25% damage resistance Dwarf: 25% magical resistance Elve: ranged defense or offense (can't remember specifics for this one)

5 RepliesWhatever race you are puts you at a social standing in the world. People fear Quinari, respect dwarves, reject elves (especially in Orlais),and treat humans normally. Most Elves hate humans, dwarves hate surface dwarves, Quinari are supposed to hate mages. Warriors are your tanks. Put them up front and have them absorb damage. Shield users now have an extra armor health bar, which I love. Two handed weapon users dish out heavy damage to multiple targets at once, but lack the extra armor. Warrior specializations don't change the gameplay too much. Reavers scare their enemies, templars work better against demons, and champions buff your team and enhance tanking capabilities. Rogues do huge damage, but only when used right. Dagger users should flank around using their abilities and back stab, which multiplies their damage. Bow users stay at a distance and just spam abilities, depending on the enemy. As for Specializations for the rogue, I don't know much about them. One sets traps, perfect for bow users who can rush draw enemies away, and kill them with traps. Another uses potions to enhance different aspects, such as speed or ability cooldown, perfect for dagger users. And I don't know the last sorry. Could be a stealth speciality. Mages are the only class that actually change your social standing, as this is the mage rebellion, so you are feared or respected, depending on the person. You deal major AoE damage. There are four main ability trees: healer ("buffer" this tree is more for giving your team extra health in the form of a barrier, like a shield, reviving them from the distance when they fall, and dispelling other magic effects.), lightning (attacks jump from person to person, and a cage attack confines enemies to a lightning cage that slows them and damages them.), fire (powerful AoE attacks that leave burns and make the enemy panic. Self explanatory really.) Ice (it's spells are good for boss battles. Enemies freeze, literally, opening them up to be shattered by the two other classes and killed.) The specializations are amazing. Necromancers can draw health and mana from the dead, and use a spell that traps the spirit of an enemy when they die, forcing them to fight for you. Rift mages I haven't researched or used. So I don't know much. Knight-Enchanters, my personal favorite, have an ability in which they use a huge spirit blade in their left hand to attack at melee range, they can go invisible and rematerialize inside an enemy for massive damage. They can create a disruption field that slows enemies to a stop. And a certain ability can make its barrier regenerate with each hit of the spirit blade, making him invincible.

Edited by LiqourSandwich: 12/5/2014 6:37:53 PMI find knight enchanter Mage is the biggest tank, constant Barrier when doing damage and a melee power with no cooldown is very, very, useful.

A tank build is great for helping to kill dragons. My tank can solo any dragon and the dragon won't even touch my health bar

1 ReplyI play as a Human Rouge. I specialize in the Assassin tree but i have perks in subterfuge, sabotage, and double daggers. Using daggers isn't as powerful as using a bow (you can almost 1 shot pretty much all enemies haha), but daggers is WAY more fun imo. Especially if you have 38% + chrit chance and 156% crit damage like me :P Plus the concept of being up on your enemies face (actually behind them for flanking damage) is pretty crazy. Try all classes and a few specializations out. None are the "most challenging" because you develop an idea of how to play them. Some are more fun that others though.

1 ReplyI got nothing, I don't. Play it

1 Reply2 best classes in DA 1. Archer with assasin build.. You will 1 shot kill almost all enemies 2. Knight enchanter easiest to play, you can solo anything in the game

9 RepliesEveryone's answered said questions. But I play as an Elven Rogue Archer. Challenging and fun to play IMO.

So, I need help with these questions. What are the pros and cons of each class?mages have aoe attacks and can support from a distance. Rouges high damage very quickly no armor though. Warriors tank deal average damage but mostly draw attention to have others hit harder. How does race affect anything?thats mostly story I believe... What class is good?depends how you play it I'm a good rouge terrible warrior and average Mage. What class is fun?depends on what you wanna do look to pros and cons What class takes skill?all depending how you build and complicate things for yourself but you learn fast what everything does and when to and not to use your abilities What class do you play as?rouge or Mage So these are my questions. 1 ReplyTry multiplayer first to test each class, I made qunari mage, there's one mission in the game where your race actually matters and I won't spoil that for anyone.

7 RepliesEdited by Hellbent02: 12/1/2014 6:46:17 AMHonestly race doesn't matter much. It's mainly just what race you wanna play. I'm playing a Qunari mage and works out very well. Mage class - very fun class, flashy spell animation, not all that hard to play unless you go Knight enchanter sub class which takes a tad more skill. They do take more dmg than others of course. Rogue class - main dmg dealer imo, takes longer to kill than mage but seems to still die faster at times cause if go daggers your in melee range often. Fun class still. Archer is really good and good survivability. Warrior - cool armor, really hard to take down, takes awhile to kill stuff if you go 1hander and shield. 2hander can kill quick and do aoe dmg with weapon alone but they take more dmg from lack of shield. Personally I find warrior takes more skill than the others. Mainly messing around with taunts and shout skills

3 RepliesReaver is fun as a human and dwarf, and it kinda takes skill idk. But the pros of it are that you can't die once you activate this power that regenerates health with every hit.. Con is that you gotta go close as its a melee class
-
1 ReplyHumans are the lean more of a better choice because you get an extra ability point. Trust me, that one extra goes a long way! I play an elven Mage (elven because of personal preference) I built a high DPS Mage that feeds on skills that increase mana regen as well reduce cooldowns. If you're going to play a Mage I highly recommend you obtain the "Fire Trap" skill.
