I don't mind ads on youtube because it's free. I don't think you should have to deal with ads on hulu plus that's bullshit.

  • Right? I think they're charging me $7.00 a week for it. The only reason I continue to do so is so I can watch it on my Roku, even though their app barely works half the time anyways. Their response to this is "Oh maybe your internet isn't good enough". After telling them I normally get 50mbps, they sent me to their tech department who then asked the me same question. Literally the worst.

The problem could be your internet provider. Not too long ago it was almost impossible to watch netflix on comcast. Comcast was purposely making it impossible for people to watch Netflix. They made netflix give them money in order to make netflix usuable on comcast. It's -blam!-ing bullshit. I almost made a thread about that but the flood is filled with edgy 12 year olds so I didn't bother. Edit: That video explains a little bit.

  • I seem to remember something like that happening to me where I used to live. I gave up on Netflix for a while because of it. I'm not getting issues with it anymore though, even while I'm still on Comcast. It was more of an area issue for me, their service was terrible back then. Since I moved, no problems. The problem here is I watch every other major streaming service ever flawlessly. It's absolutely their app, it's the most bloated and unstable thing I've ever used. It freezes on me, is barely responsive, etc. And it's usually their ads that screw up my device, I have to restart it whenever it messes up otherwise my audio echos on the other apps I use. I tried explaining that, answered all their questions, but they kept circling back to my internet specs, which are more than sufficient enough to watch some videos online.

Netflix on Comcast was terrible anywhere, it only got better after Netflix paid Comcast. This is a really big issue. Lots of people (including me) have sign complaints to the FCC. Their website (FCC) isn't even working properly because of this. Hopefully we can stop this bullshit. I feel like a hippie right now but this is a huge -blam!-ing issue people just don't realize it. #Net Neutrality Anyways it might be the app. The ads on youtube always -blam!- up my phone. I have hulu plus but I hardly ever use it so I haven't seen the issues you are having.

  • Fight the power, maan! Nah I get you though, it's bullshit. I didn't know the whole extent behind it, I just know that it was shitty, I moved, it was better. This only occurs on my Roku, otherwise Hulu is pretty tolerable. Aside from them nagging me about my adblock that is disabled anyways.
