DO IT. it's so damn fun. i made the switch from CoD when BF3 was released, and I will never go back. The big draw for me was the fact that, at least in conquest and rush matches, you can't win by simply lone-wolfing and getting a bunch of kills. You have to play as a team, at the very least with your 4 or 5-man squad. There are plenty of games where my squad and I have been the reason our team won because we were attacking and defending objectives while the rest of our team was moronically just trying to get kills. This will be a bit different when the game switches from 12v12 to 32v32 on next-gen consoles, but you can still have an impact as a single squad! Also, the fact that, if you want, you don't even have to kill people to be the points leader on the team is awesome. I've spent entire games as a medic, barely getting any kills, where I'm at the top of the leaderboard from revives, healing, capturing points, etc. But to me, the best part of BF3 is the scale. Giant maps with jets flying by, tanks rolling through, and helicopters picking up and dropping soldiers off at various objectives all give the illusion that you're in a real... well, battlefield. I absolutely can't wait for BF4 on the Xbox One since console gamers will finally be able to experience the full epicness of the massive PC maps and battles.

Woot! It will be tough to wait for the Xbox One version, but it will be worth it. Besides, after experiencing the PC version, I don't really want to play much more of the horribly "last-gen" version of the game haha.

Pretty sure you can buy the 360 version when it comes out and trade it in for the one copy for only 10$ more.
