Edited by MyNameIsCharlie: 9/26/2013 4:38:56 PMSo, burn down the house to get rid of the wall paper that annoys 2 of the 5 people in the house? Yeah, that's a wise move. Basically you are saying that since Obamacare is going to hurt the economy, we should just kill the economy outright.

1 Reply*News Flash* Shutting down the entire government would be bad. Riots and terrorists, anyone?
-
1 ReplyThey're playing the shutdown just like they did the Sequester. Some of these mother-blam!-ers need to be recalled...
-
6 RepliesHow is yes more than 50% of the vote? You guys are idiots!
-
6 RepliesNope. Obamacare prevents health insurance companies from refusing treatment for people with pre-existing conditions. If there is a negative thing about Obamacare that outweighs this positive, then let me hear it, but I have read Obamacare, and there are no negatives to helping people who need help.

8 RepliesNo one is proposing such an idea.

Considering we are only going into debt deeper by having it running, sure. I think it'll rustle enough jimmies.

2 RepliesThe GOP need to stop beating a dead horse. I'm still struggling to see any lessons learned from their defeat in 2012. 2014 isn't going to be 2010 for the Republicans. If the government shuts down the blame will be directed their way. Should that happen the devastating perception of Republicans will just continue to be enforced.

2 RepliesWell I think the government should be shut down anyway...
-
1 ReplyThreatening government shutdown is not bargaining, compromising, or encouraging civilized arguments on the topic - it's holding our entire country hostage.
-
1 ReplyShut...down...everything!
-
Sure.

Edited by DerpyTheWhale: 9/25/2013 10:36:35 PMOf course not.

Hell ya.
-
14 RepliesWell, considering that I have to start paying for my own health insurance in a little over a month, I am not liking that Obamacare there ehhh...so shut them down.
-
Yes, it was the best thing to happen in the mid 90s for the country. It forced the GOP and Clinton to work together. We got welfare reform, military spending reform, and as close to balanced budgets as this country has ever seen.
-
3 RepliesI have a feeling when you say government shutdown, people literally think no part of the government will be working. You should explain what exactly it means.
-
3 RepliesAs much as I hate Obamacare, no. Anybody with common sense would say so. That doesn't mean the government should not return to a balanced budget. It should. And they should enact legislation that forces them to reign in borrowing - sequester 2.0. But it should be done gradually with stepped goals.

It needs to be shutdown. All those idiots in Congress only care about the size of their wallet while Americans continue to suffer.
