I had always been a loyal Xbox player back when bungie had been giving us Halo; but ever since 343 started creating, "Halo" I've been buying an playing the majority of my games on the Playstation. Truth is now, I'm completely torn trying to decide which console to buy and play Destiny on because I have a lot of friends i would like to play with, but I prefer Playstation. Could someone enlighten me on the differences that are currently known between the Playstation and Xbox versions? I've heard Playstation is getting exclusive extra content, but I'm not sure how accurate that is.
I've heard Playstation is getting exclusive extra content, but I'm not sure how accurate that is.
That's the only difference between the two that's been announced, and they haven't said what it is.
I have a lot of friends i would like to play with
Since Destiny is designed as a social game, I'd get the console that you share with friends.

Same with me and PS4!!!

Xbox needs to do a redesign to make it not look like some relic from the eighties add more ram, lower the price and make good games that don't suck and are exclusive to Xbox so we can tell all the bluraystation owners to suck it

I was also an Xbox 360 guy but my next gen console is PS4. Now this isn't just due to the Halo series being taken over by 343, it was the Kinect system that made me not like Xbox and the fact that Xbox One basically cost more because Microsoft forces the customer to buy Kinect when you buy Xbox One

Just more people on Xbox that are most likely gonna have mics

Ps4. Wins my vote. It has better overall graphics it's cheaper(and yes it's a big deal top most ppl) both consoles are great. But on paper and in the pure gaming category Ps4 is the victor and just to point out ps4 will be getting a cloud storage update in the future so I took that in consideration as well.

6 Replies-sigh- I hoped people would know better than to ask on a forum "PS4 or Xbox One". Unless they wanted to break the server, I would suggest learning something from this.

Xbox One; frankly not missing much on ps4. If last guardian comes out on ps4 (or when uncharted releases), then I'll get it. Destiny is on both platforms, and Xbox also gets halo, gears, and quantum break (if you haven't played Alan Wake and you love captivating story, it's a must play). Go with where your friends are IMO, destiny is a multiplayer game, you'll need friends to have a great experience. Also I believe on amazon the Xbox titanfall bundle is 450. Quote from engadget: "Titanfall bundle is still listed for $499, currently adding it to the cart and using promo code "xiamazon" drops the price to $450." Prime opportunity.

Edited by DUPR3: 3/24/2014 8:37:57 AMIn the end it's not a huge deal what you play on.

The two next-gen have (virtually) the same hardware, so it really boils down to the service. I am going with PS4 because of the (more) affordable internet-service, plus I like the rest of the exclusives better than XB1. I will be playing Titanfall on my 360, however.

48 RepliesIf you are a bungie fan you take xbox. I think bungie hates to play on a ps4 controller
