I had always been a loyal Xbox player back when bungie had been giving us Halo; but ever since 343 started creating, "Halo" I've been buying an playing the majority of my games on the Playstation. Truth is now, I'm completely torn trying to decide which console to buy and play Destiny on because I have a lot of friends i would like to play with, but I prefer Playstation. Could someone enlighten me on the differences that are currently known between the Playstation and Xbox versions? I've heard Playstation is getting exclusive extra content, but I'm not sure how accurate that is.

Edited by Vexov: 7/16/2014 6:24:31 PMPlay with your friends. The difference between PS4 and Xbox?, well there is a lot to say. - PS4 is a more powerful system, its ram is easier for devs and its GPU will make a very significant difference (50% more shader processors, i dunno 20% more powerful of a gpu). - XB1 subscription is more, but thats nothing. It had, and possibly still does, have you paying its subscription to use Netflix. It tried to bone in loyal fans, its been reversing so many things that its nick named the Xbox 180. Honestly, to make everything shorter: Xbox scared away its own gamers. PS4 is outselling the system 2 - 1. Playstations aim was towards games and gamer's, Xbox went retarded and started pissing all over and place and on its gamer's.

Play where your friends are, plain and simple. The differences between consoles are going to be really small and the game shines with friends.
-
Does not matter anymore, especially if bungie will be locking frames to 30
-
2 RepliesWhichever one your friends have. It's been confirmed the game will play at 1080p 30fps across all 4 consoles.
-
12 RepliesTake it from me. I owned a ps4 and traded it in for a xbone. Much happier now.
-
3 RepliesTake it from me, I had an Xbox one, but I traded it for ps4, and let me tell you why: Better graphics, it can view at 1080p, whereas xbox one is 720, like it or not, it's true. The other reason is that PS plus is only 50 a year, whereas xbox is 60. Schizo_time , see you all tomorrow in game!!

3 RepliesEdited by Felin: 6/18/2014 8:54:12 AMI have both next gen consoles and I'm getting it for PS4 based on the fact that bungie build the game specifically for it. However I strongly suggest getting it on whichever console your friends are on because as I was playing the Alpha I noticed that the game starts to get a little boring playing by yourself. Yes Playstation is getting exclusive content, if you want more proof just google "PS4 destiny exclusives"

I own both consoles and I'll be getting it on xbox. as that's the platform most my friends are on. That's more important to me than a bit of extra content.

7 RepliesXbox One, Microsoft brought gaming forward in so many ways, and have far greater resources and power to continue doing so. I trust they will bring about another great era of gaming. All those people saying the PS4 early access is Bungie getting back at MS - Bungie don't have control over the early access or any such deals as they are only the developers. Activision are the publishers - and we all know they would love to get the PS numbers up to what they have on the Xbox. I share a PS4 with a flat mate, and there are literally no decent games for it. Any good games, you can get on Xbox One, a long with MS exclusives like Titanfall. /fanboy out.

2 RepliesI'm getting it for the wii u.

Gameboy. Come with exclusive Pokemon class.

1 ReplyHey Guys This Is Gameplay Of Me And A Few Guardians Taking On The "Elite Devil Walker" One Of The Strongest Bosses In The Alpha!!! Hope You Enjoy It As Much As I Did!!! ;D

2 RepliesI guess if you have both ps4 and xbox one then choose ps4 because of the "exclusive" content but id go with whichever platform has your friends
-
Play where ever you are comfortable with. I enjoy the PS4, but if you are mor interested in the Xbox then go right ahead. Also I'd play on which ever console my friends are on so I can fully experience the game with them.

1 ReplyPlay with your friends.

24 RepliesEdited by Brave Traveler: 6/18/2014 8:52:37 AMXbox because our community is better and not full of 6 year old kids who's mums bought them a playstation because it was cheaper. Real gamers play Xbox. And yeah I am an Xbox fan but that doesn't make me an idiot so Playstation players, please keep your slanderous comments to yourself...

You should chose the console where you have your best friends and most because i think that destiny is gonna be a lot more fun with friends ;)
-
Exclusives are timed, go where your friends are, you'll have more fun if that's your play style.
-
3 RepliesDestiny is 1080p 60fps on ps4, 1080p 30 fps on xbox if you can sacrifice 30 fps as id imagine you can as an avid halo fan youve been playing 30 fps since combat evolved :) i'get get the xbox and enjoy bungies creation along side 343s continuation of a bungie creation on the same console. bungie already said theres not one better version on the next gen consoles :)

Blam ps4 lol. Honestly go with were your friends are and if they undecided then buy XBOX ONE. I have both and xbox is a better console. It plays games the same quality as ps4 and the console can do way more than ps4. In terms of destiny a ps4 is better because they get DLC's earlier I dnt think that's a big deal really. xbox one does way more than gaming it's an entertainment system. To be honest Activistion has good ties with Microsoft(COD exclusive) so I believe they knew about the destiny deal before sony and chose not to act to me this tells me they have something bigger company why because Microsoft is a badass company. So honesty if you just want to buy a console to play one game(destiny) and you are impatient then get ps4 but if you want a real entertainment experience then I say xbox one. Ps. Am not a fan boy I have all consoles from Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft well because am rich. And being honest xbox is better majority of people that go to sony go because it's cheaper and they dnt pay to be online. Ps. I said majority not all so I dnt want to hear people telling me they can afford it. I said majority.

Well, I had an Xbox and moved to the ps4 Now my Xbox friends watch me play games or other people on YouTube play games.

2 RepliesI've been playing the Alpha and have already met a few old school Halo players who went from 360 to PS4. I have both the One and PS4 personally, though am getting Destiny on the PS4. It suits the game well, Bungie obviously likes their relationship with Sony and moving forward they will undoubtedly get a better handle developing for the more powerful console (especially when they don't have to develop around last generation as well). Don't let community hold you back, there's a ton of us on PSN and likely more to come.
