We need new Pvp maps. Badly.
Destiny 1 has MANY PvP maps that never made it to d2, making d1 crucible a better experience currently. Why not rip the files from d1 and recreate the maps in d2? It would satisfy long-time players and new players alike. I don’t see any other way to make the required number of maps to make this game fun again in PvP. We have not gotten a new map since LIGHTFALL. How else do you plan to make up for the years of not releasing a single crucible map, and what better time than now? Or rather, it’s kinda now or never. D2 is dying, and it needs drastic measures. Just add all the D1 Crucible maps. Shadow and order could be Destiny’s major comeback with enough content, easily.

1 ReplyThe maps from D1 cannot be transferred. Bungie explained a few years ago that Rusted Lands had to be completely rebuilt. It took 3 months and consumed a lot of resources. They stopped creating new maps after that one because it required so much effort.

1 ReplyHonestly atp Crucible needs far more than just more maps. It needs some kind of complete rework. Comp or Trials need to be gutted and folded into the other. BtB/Combined Arms needs to be put back in. There needs to be more variety in game modes like Halo had even casual party type gamemodes like Infection. There is genuinely a lot that crucible needs right now than more maps which would only be a drop in the ocean compared to all the other issues it accrued due to neglect.

4 RepliesThe problem with D1 maps is that they get the D2 treatment and then they look washed out. You also have to remember that these maps were designed for slower players and we would be stuck with yet more cramped spaces.

Who exactly is going to create these maps? It’s a skeleton crew back there. Pete parsons and corporate greed destroyed this franchise.

The one intern who is using AI promts to write the weekly TWID isn't going to be able to deliver new PvP maps. That's about all the resources they can spare for D2 right now, sorry.

2 RepliesWe have so many maps in D2 that aren't in circulation that need to be added back. They need to create a system that rotates each week. Something like all Earth maps week one, a few other planets week two and so forth. Just something to change it up.
