Hello. I have been playing on PS5 for several years with many thousands of hours on my account. I have recently build a PC and re-bought the DLC on steam in order to swap platform. However while setting up cross-save I have hit a brick wall. When i log-in to my Sony account and try to link to steam, it brings the error "These accounts cant be linked". Apparently my steam account is already linked to a different bungie account? very odd. Even odder, if I log-in my steam account instead it does show that there is a Sony account linked, but one that has no characters. Despite having no characters this account is somehow in my Destiny Clan. I have never used another Sony account with any Bungie game so i don't understand what im seeing or how this happened. I have tried to access this other Sony account but it doesnt seem to actually exist. I did change my Sony account when i bought my PS5, but as far as im aware i deleted the old Sony account, and as i never owned a PS4 I hadnt used said account in about a decade. I also never played a Bungie game on my old PS3. So, as far as i know, i have only one Steam account, and one Sony account. Apparently I have two bungie accounts (one from steam login, this one from sony login) but I cant link them due to a non-existent Sony account already linked to my steam. I hope that made sense, because I am very confused. Any help will be appreciated.
