So a Reddit leaker claims that the new expansion will heavily feature a roguelike mode where your gear and stats reset each run. What’s your opinion on this?
Personally, I think having a mode where your gear resets every time in a game that’s all about gearing up and build-crafting is one of the most out of touch moves I’ve seen in a long time. Destiny’s entire identity revolves around grinding for loot, perfecting rolls, and refining your build. Wiping that progress every run feels completely backwards.
It would be like the next Call of Duty season being a card game. Totally disconnected from what the franchise is built around.
Am I alone in thinking this clashes hard with what makes Destiny what it is?
And what is going on at Bungie with all these terrible decisions ?

Expansion 🤣 Good one. This game is cooked.

Bungie: Hey guys, what do you want out of an expansion? Everyone: An engaging story, satisfying content loop for the casual player and an end game that feels challenging and rewarding in equal measure. Additionally, if you could make PvP a gun environment that would be a fun plus. Bungie: Did you say...rouge like? Everyone: No...how did you get that from what I said?

No thanks to that.

Yeah a rougelike mode in D2 with resetting gear for each run would be cool, although idk how gun variety would work. Like what if you accidentally get double special snipers.
