Hey there, when a name gets reported, it gets manually reviewed by Bungie. If they determine it to be against code of conduct, they will reset it to a 'Redacted' default. You are not give any information, all you will see in-game is the cross-play Bungie Name message which is admittedly misleading. Note that a name does not have to contain profanity, to be against code of conduct. if you have name changes left, you should still be able to change your name. However trying to change it back to the moderated name will likely fail. If you can enter a new name into the name change box, this is proof that you do have a name change available - if it's not going through, then it's being filtered for some reason.
