Armor Farming feels TOO Grindy and out of reach for those who cant stomach endless pinnacle ops.
Bungie,
Please Make armor ghost mod 100% chance to get the archetype we want.
Even if the ghost mod guartentees a drop of the archetype u want is is still a 1/24 chance to get the archetype u want considering if u are targeting a specific teritary state etc.

Edited by xbroggiex: 1/4/2026 11:51:52 PMHonestly armor should just be craftable with the chase being for the set bonuses that should just be turned into mods that you can slot. You may be "done" with armor once you obtain the exact stats you want but currently regrinding the same stats on just a different armor set isn't that interesting. Grinding for a new armor set mod however could be interesting and that could be given through some level of grind either by acquiring a full T5 set of armor would unlock the mod or within expansion content it would be tied to certain things like maybe within Renegades you'd get one of the set bonuses as a mod when you get all factions to rank 5. Kepler could give one for completing the entire campaign on mythic and another for finding all the secrets. There could be more variety in obtaining armor set mods rather than just armor drops themselves.

Did my renegades seal grind, and my syndicate grinds, this gave me well over 10k dawning essence and mats to make about 1000 cookies. Got a full set of swordmaster and ferropotent for all 3 characters this way and every god roll weapon from pinnacle ops too just from a cookie. Easiest grind ever. Agree that ghost mods should align more so than not, tbh I've never used a ghost mod to get a specific piece of armor still to this day.

3 RepliesThis feels like a major skill issue. I’ve had no issues getting the armor I need and I think you just need to run more pinnacle ops to get this sorted out. This also sounds like someone who has never done anything “hard” in this game and is being introduced to the real world of Destiny. Probably hasn’t even done something like Vespers Host. Wishing you the best of luck, but this is an invalid complaint. Good luck Guardian :)
