Please, just get rid of featured and new gear system
It's a terrible idea and makes the game extremely unfun for me and probably a lot of people, but I don't want to to speak for anyone else. I just know it makes me feel bad for playing the way I enjoy because the gear I have isn't on the list or even mostly new. I spent 3 years getting good gear to the point only tier 4 gear is an upgrade and I'm not even close to getting tier 4 gear since the game is so unenjoyable to play.

Removing exotic gear from featured idiocy would be a good start, that alone kills most of the usable builds

Tiered armor can stay. Let’s be honest armor is functional, except exotic armor, no one cares about armor in this game. I care about the weapons I’ve collected over years that are now effectively useless. Get rid of tiered weapons, featured gear, avant garde, and the Portaloo.

The real issue is making exotic gear featured. They literally made almost every build non-existent. Not sure what toddler decided it was a good idea to completely toss out build crafting and forcing us to use a max of 2 builds.

It's not like I don't know about the other exotics or havent tried them, it's just that I've gravitated toward a few because they fit my playstyle. And now I cant use them in conquests and I'm punished for using them - albeit ever so slightly - in other content. Like, why? Is it so that people will come back to the game once they make them featured? Here's an idea, don't bore people while they're here instead of focusing on bringing them back after they've left due to boredom. They're clearly not coming back, which is evident by the playerbase. Focus on making the game a fun experience instead.

I kind of like the idea but I think they need to open up the featured gear to older weapons. Just and handful to help us build craft.

Literally the #1 reason I’m no longer playing. As long as this system remains, I’m done with this game.

1 Replylmao bungie is literally the only dev to change the reward systems in a looter shooter to 'almost everything you have spent time on is now trash, going forward you can only use what we tell you otherwise your loot will be worthless' you just know the suit/dev that thought of this crap is looking for another job every single day, as the failure becomes more and more apparent with every passing week

Featured / new gear bonuses to weapon damage or damage reduction are fine. It provides some incentive to try out new gear, I’m not necessarily a hater. What IS complete bull is being FORCED to use new gear via avante garde. Or virtually forced into it by the fact that old gear negatively impacts your score in portal activities…and thus your rewards. Bungie always seems to prefer the stick over the carrot when it comes to motivating the players.

1 ReplyAll the power leveling changes at this point mean nothing. They already lost everyone. Nobody is coming back. Here's what would bring people back, regardless of how unrealistic they are. - Kill the gear resets down to 200. You can't keep expecting people to run that hamster wheel, especially so soon each time. And theyre telling you they won't because theyre all leaving. - Remove ALL new gear bonuses/enhacements/whatever. Nobody is coming back to grind old stuff for gear they know will just expire again soon. - Produce actual content for all the players. Very few care about raiding anymore, especially after a lot of players hated Salvations Edge. Focus on strikes, new activites, different fun endgame modes. - Stop seeking advice from streamers. Yes, they play more than the rest of us, but theyre self-serving. They dont care about what's best for the community, or what's fun. They care about their views and subs. Theyre just normal players who broadcast themselves. Thats it.

Agree it sucks, and it needs to go. It’s just getting in the way of build crafting.

They extended but we should be fine got plenty of time before next year expansion drops.
