With the update to Destiny 2 today, my fps has significantly decreased in the game for most areas. Any place that is free of enemy NPCs is fine, but the moment I go anywhere with even a few enemies, my FPS drops by at least 30. The odd thing is that my resource values are nowhere near max, and my temps aren't anything to be worried about. It does not seem to improve by changing any settings, and a reinstall hasn't helped either. All drivers are up to date as well as the OS. I have all relevant PC settings set to max performance. The worst of it comes when I open the character screen, going from 144 to 90 or below. No other game has had this kind of issue, so it has to be something with this update.

2 RepliesFIX::::: Prior to edge of fate, exclusive fullscreen automatically forced the correct refresh rate. Post edge of fate, your OS refresh rate controls the game in a windowed state——- I have a feeling this might be the core issue we have written so much about in these forums My computer’s default refresh rate was set to 60. I set it to the highest my monitor had (144) and my game looks better than ever now Go to settings, system, display, ——> under related settings choose advanced display ——->select the correct monitor—— choose a refresh rate Pick the highest one your monitor has available If your refresh rate is low (60) the game will look choppy with the new settings since edge of fate. Don’t need to bring back exclusive fullscreen, just need to change your hertz!!!!

9 RepliesHi there! Please try resetting your CVARS. I would recommend backing this file up, just in case. Please note that this will reset all of your display settings. https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049202131-CVARS-Guide-CVARS-Troubleshooting-and-Setting-a-Framerate-Cap

2 RepliesSame, my game feels like console d1 in all areas but especially Kepler. I know this can’t be by design. Frame rate count shows normal in the fps counter but I know I’m not getting the frames I did just the day before EOF. One thing I notice is my nvidia app saying I’m in “fullscreen borderless” instead of fullscreen like it used to. Idk if some change in settings for way the games window displays is to blame. Hopefully bungie notices and fixes this. There’s already a Reddit thread dedicated to the choppy frame rates. The game looks horrible for me
