Over the past 48 hours, the connect to Destiny2 servers has been terrible. It drops constantly and yesterday I simply couldn’t connect. Error codes centipede and baboon. I am on LAN, have reset the modem, reinstalled the game, reset the ps5 and still the same issue. Please provide guidance
This is the only online game that I have issues with. I have followed all the troubleshooting and still consistent issues occur - Contacting Destiny Servers.
Melbourne location. No ISP concerns. Streaming runs perfectly, all other services / devices run perfectly. Simply connection to Bungie servers
UPDATE 16:00 15 Jun - spent all day working with ISP to correct. No dropouts occurring from ISP service. Consistent high speed levels and no packet drops. Removed gateway and enabled full access through router. Reviewed DNS. Now it’s worse!!!! Now getting ‘weasel’ error and not able to get to the first option screen.

Edited by Nazuna ~Invitine~: 6/16/2025 8:01:02 AMUpdate So turns out the DNS stuff I tried appears to be a bust, and was just a coincidence that the game worked as, I just experienced horrid packet loss and when restarting the game I now cannot get past character select like before. So now I'm not even sure if it's a TPG issue or not, cause some Aussies I've seen can play D2 just fine, so now I'm completely stumped on what to do. ^^^ Ignore everything below this message Okay, Update. My roomate contacted my ISP IInet/TPG and after some explaining they mentioned something about a 'domainname' falling over a few days ago when mentioning the fact that D2 servers failed to connect and also explaining this forum, steam and reddit posts about this issue. So afaik we have changed the domain name that our modem is connected to and managed to get into the game. There was the contacting destiny 2 servers notification but now I'm in the game fine. Sorry if this is worded poorly, I'mquite techsavvy when it comes to this kind of stuff. Though, contact your ISP as you should be able to fix the issue or at least nullify most of it until it's fully fixed. The domain name we're on now is 8.8.8.8 so if anyone has a chance try that and see if the game lets you get to orbit as well as any activity.
