I'd rather just have guaranteed choice of scope so I can like my gun without worrying if it's a god roll or not
-
I think you're in a very small minority on not caring what the roll of your gun is as long as you can pick the scope lol.

in addition (you could also have it just be about scope no other attributes affected).. while you're at it... also add grip.. the more the merrier for gunplay enthusiasts -
Unfortunately they can't and they've told us that already, which is why they had to remove orb generation from guns just to fit origin traits on them. I mean, sure, ideally we could have everything fully customizable, but sadly that isn't the game we play.
-
If we can land a man on the moon, Bungie can bring back scopes. I don't know where you heard that but it's BS. They're just cheap and greedy.
-
From them lol. It's not BS. You just don't like it so you have to make up some conspiracy that they want to withold features from you lmao. iF wE cAn LaNd A mAn On ThE mOoN, MF NASA isn't developing Destiny.

Edited by MegaFlygon25: 3/13/2025 2:35:37 PMAnd you're gonna trust the words of a company whose CEO basically took all of the money they were supposed to be using to improve the game to buy fast cars and possibly a crap ton of cocaine? Get bent
-
The CEO isn't writing the twabs or dev blogs, genius. I just have a slightly-educated view of how games are made, and the things we've been told make complete sense when you aren't looking at it directly through the "BuNgO bAd AlWaYs" lens. I get you've made hating everything they do or say your entire personality here, and without directly addressing how otherwordly pathetic and miserable that has to be, I hope you find a game you like and decide to play it in the real world with the rest of us. gEt BeNt 🤣JFC, you people.
-
Correction, they don't want to. They tell you what they want you to hear.
-
"CoRrEcTiOn ☝🤓here's my opinion based on nothing but being opposed to everything evil Bungo does or says. I've made it my whole personality." FTFY.
-
Tell me, what is limiting them? What on earth could be limiting them to not be able to? There is no way they absolutely can't. It's like how they can unvault everything they've removed from the game. They won't.
-
I don't have to tell you. Bungie already did. You just don't like the answer so you have to pretend it's some conspiracy just for Bungie to withold features from you lol. It's not that they absolutely can't. It's that the amount of work that it would take just to add that isn't worth it to them, clearly, or they'd have done it. And as the other person has said, it is the engine. Again, they literally told us they can only fit so many functions onto a weapon at one time, which is why they ditched orb generation for origin traits. So while they could do it, they'd not only have to build that feature for every gun, and add it to every gun, they'd also have to put it in every perk pool, AND they'd have to work on the engine enough to allow them to even put more things on guns, which would undoubtedly mean we lose something somewhere else, not to mention they'd have to make every scope work with zoom mods. That's a significant amount of work just to put scopes back on guns. I would like to have scopes too, and in a perfect world with a huge staff, they could dedicate a small group to do this, but we don't have that anymore, because they all got laid off so these side projects won't happen because they need all hands on deck just to make an episode.
-
I posted responding to someone else who mentioned the engine that if the engine (Tiger, basically a modified Blam engine) can't handle it, change to unreal. Seriously, how much did Sony drop into Bungie and this is what they're doing with it? You have the money. They say they can't, but considering it is very possible in the gaming space, they just don't want to go through the steps to allow them to improve QOL with things like that. And it's way more than just scopes, but that's the example we were all talking about.
-
Okay, sure. We'll just change the engine to Unreal lol. That's definitely a doable thing at this point. They wouldn't have to rebuild basically the entire game or anything lol. It's not impossible and it's not that they can't, which I've already said. it's just not remotely realistic with the staff they have currently, whether anybody likes that or not. They've prioritized making Frontiers and Apollo and Rite of the Nine over things like adding scopes, because with the staff they have, they can't do both, or at least if they tried to do both it would be 2026 before we'd see either of them because splitting an already smaller team in half is just goingto slow down both projects.
-
You know how Sony owns Bungie? They also own other studios. Just sayin'.
-
So then go to Sony's forum and beg them to assign other studios to this game. The one with the studio they've continually downsized over the last year and a half. I'm sure they'll jump right on that because that makes complete and total sense.
-
Sony made the deal they made with Bungie only to piss Microsoft off after the Activision acquisition. I'll bet Sony is LOSING money on Bungie and they still don't care.
-
Okay?
-
Limited by the game engine you dolt. When you learn how to program find a work around. The game is in a poor operating state as it is. EVERYTHING affects performance
-
Dude, there are bigger games that do way more. No way is Destiny limited on what it can do. The devs are just lazy. Even if the engine was the problem, how about changing to Unreal like everyone else? It's clearly a C-note-dog for a reason, and Tiger is more like a penny. There's a reason Halo is switching. SMH
-
Yes but this engine is basically 20 years old. Just because other games can doesn’t mean this game can. Its tech more or less from Xbox 360
-
That's why I said if it can't go to unreal. Bungo knows they need more, yet they refuse.
-
That's why I said if it can't go to unreal. Bungo knows they need more, yet they refuse.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to switch game engines you dummy. The die has been cast. They will work within the limitations of the engine. To start a new engine would be a new game entirely.
-
Exactly. They're vaulting -blam!- (I heard they're looking to vault both Shadowkeep AND Beyond Light) to keep the game size within reason, but why not just make a new game and NOT vault -blam!-? SMH 🙄
