• Honestly, it's about time that people see destiny for what it is and have also stopped giving bungie so many chances

  • If you like the game for what it was or could be, and not what it is, then you don't actually like the game. You like the idea of the game. The idea, and the game itself are very separate things. Untangle which you actually like and then decide to stay or leave for a bit and come back if things change in your favor. Nothing wrong with just walking across the street to another developer for a bit.

    • It started dying off when Activision left, it's just it took way too long for people to wake up and a lot were suckered into buying TFS thinking "the game was going to be improved" Not! I don't care how good the TFS is to some people knowing for a fact that the rest of the game is a mess when it comes to how a game is designed. 1 tiny expansion, and I mean tiny compared to actual developers that put effort into a game will not make up for how bad the rest of the game actually is no matter how many of the hardcore fans try to pass it off. I know I might get the usual trolls making their comments, but I'm not bothered by nobodies who are just random people using a forum no one has any real connection with. The game could be in a much better place than it is if they stop playing their childish games with the player base, and all it takes is just a little bit of willingness/effort to do right by the player base. WoW! What a concept. 1, Rigging the RNG in this game and doubling down on it should have stopped when they removed the loot boxes years ago that was a scam. The RNG in this game is totally -blam!- up by design, and this developer's streamer buddies are the laziest gamers there are in gaming when it comes to the RNG in this game trying to acquire whatever loot there is in the activities in this game. Bungie gives them the loot to advertise what loot there is in every single activity there is in the entire game.
Yeah yeah, we all know, "link please" not that anyone can see clearly that it is literally impossible to have all the loot in this game from every single activity from every single expansion that comes out in a couple of days to advertise the loot with the rigged RNG in this game. That's some lazy BS right there, yet they have the balls to act as if they made the effort to acquire the loot in this game, and some people praise these lazy streamers. Oh, and you have to love the account recoveries they use a lot of the time on how it shows how they "put the effort into the game to acquire the loot" as everyone else in this entire player base had to.
2, The game is bloated with junk loot. It is so damn bad that it's stupidly bad how much junk loot is in this game that it makes the "RNG" in this game miserable being flooded with it, especially knowing it's by design. Most of the gear is designed to have garbage states, and getting flooded with duplicates that they even doubled down on with the perks/states with the loot in the game has made it worse than it ever was. Just changed the name, "They won't know the difference" even though anyone can easily see a lot of them are the exact same stats/perks, just placed in different orders. Pure lazy development, one of the worst I have ever seen in a looter shooter. 3, The quality of the content being designed in this game has gotten worse over time. They have gotten to the point of just pushing the content out the door as is other than putting a bit of effort into an expansion and most of the content is pushed out broken. Hey, they even admitted that they don't always playtest the content they design, it's just wondering how many times this happens. A lot of the content has bugs/issues and so on have become glaring issues that have piled up in this game which is a major problem. 4, The difficulty in this game is out of place and I'm lost on WTH they were thinking when they changed the difficulty. It shouldn't have ever been changed in the first place. 5, The padded playtime is way overdone that you are wasting so much time just running around basically doing nothing at all. An example, running back and forth to the tower just to manage the postmaster 24-7 to delete all the garbage that floods the postmaster. I do it, but it's one of the dumbest things to have to do that takes your time away from running the activities you want to without being interrupted. The messed up thing about it is that they refuse to do anything about it. Yet they made sure the POS shop was shoved in your face all these years every single day from the beginning, and to make matters worse they put it in the directory. All of the above can be improved when it comes to designing a game. It's just knowing for a fact there was no need for their deliberate poor actions, and the original Bungie proved that. It's just a shame this Bungie is the complete opposite of the original Bungie, and that is literally why the game is in such a poor state it is in.

      • The game is coming to a natural end, is it not? You'll have the more casual player who will have experienced the final major expansion, so there's really nothing left for them. You'll get players who have hit their wall... 10 years of a grindy game is a feat!! I would say 3 years in a row is an epic achievement! You'll get players that will dip on the quiet moments (the solstice event is) and return when there's new stuff to do. You'll even get the hard-core players, who have done everything, drop off. We are getting new content - I have a feeling act 3 will be a banger (don't get your hopes up, I might be reading too much into it)!! Plus, the next 2 episodes look good, plus 2 more dungeons and a 10 year anniversary (paid pack?? Wait and see!). See what the numbers are like when there's fresher stuff to do. Then we'll see whether the game is dead/sleeping!
