Hey everybody.
The Ritual Pathfinder is extremely easy to complete. 80% of them can be cleared in strikes without playing anything else. 100% of Pathfinders can be cleared with Strikes and Gambit together.
Daily reminder that gambit is a fun mode with infinite replay value, and that you mostly don't like it because you need more practice on defense.
That's right. Gambit is a super cool game mode that would get more support if players could self reflect and see they can succeed with practice.
If you find yourself struggling to complete pathfinders or cognizant enough to recognize your Gambit avoidance, try these tips:
1. Consider invasion defense and be proactive. Gambit is a place where scout rifles thrive. Use your abilities, special ammo, or a second close range primary for ad clear.
2. Consider bank maintenance and be proactive. You can be a legend in the Gambit queue with some crafty plays using Parasite. Clearing a 4 knight blockade with one piece of heavy ammo never gets old.
3. Mix it up. Use something new!
4. Lighten up and have fun! (Likely the most difficult for the overwhelming misers on this forum)
Anyway. That's all!

Except I don't like PvP at all, and half the time the pathfinder system forces me into PvP. Even some of the objectives that work in any playlist mode are way too time-consuming outside Bungie's "preferred" mode... for example, Thrill of Victory will allow progress in any of the three modes. However, if you want to do so with just strikes, you have to complete 20 strikes... yes you heard that right: 20!

1 ReplyI had to do pathfinder for guardian rank and was able to do one entire reset in a single strike. Really doesn’t seem all that bad tbh. I still don’t care for it, but oh well.

1 Replywow lying in a post ! so mainstream

16 RepliesHow easy or difficult it is to complete a path is not the issue for a lot of people. It’s more about player choice. If the Pathfinder was introduced to facilitate player choice (as Bungie claimed) it’s a straight up fail with regard to that. It’s more restrictive than the old bounty system.

1 ReplyFinally, someone else that gets it. Half the time, I complete almost the whole thing without even realizing it or checking it. It's very easy to get through it without any issues or problems.

2 RepliesBut what if I don't wanna play the game at all?

Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - old
I used to be able to complete bounties by playing Gambit. If I want to get the rewards now Pathfinder requires me to also play the battlegrounds playlist. I don’t want to. Pathfinder should have a path that can always be completed within a single core playlist. -
1 Reply“100% of pathfinders can be cleared with strikes and gambit” Not true at all. My current pathway to reset is blocked unless I play crucible

3 RepliesPersonally, I don't mind doing other activities however to maximize double rank rewards it is always best to run only that activity for the week. Such as this week being Crucible ranks, I would much prefer to run only Mayhem and Iron Banner, however even that is not possible as there are multiple nodes that block the progress or are reasonable. We either need to have separate Pathfinders or have very specific boards that can be achieved with only Gambit, only Vanguard, etc.

12 RepliesAs someone who has gotten as high as #167 in the world for gambit elo (yes I get all the ladies 😎) I promise you that the problem is not that I don’t know how to play it, gambit really is just an unfun mode.

P.S. if you can't stomach anything other than strikes, realize the game doesn't need to cater to you exclusively, and take your money and misery elsewhere! You are doing us a favor by leaving!
