Have you seen the star citizen gaming engine, from what I have heard that are going to try and load this game to consoles and I believe it's already on the pc, if this is legit this game is going to blow everyone out of the water.

Hell yeah! I love big empty worlds with the occasional outpost and space base! Looks boring.

2 RepliesMy guy, that game started its crowdfunding back in september 2012. It's been around for 11 years. And they barely have a functioning version with minimal content out atm. What is your point? Has nothing in common with Destiny, is a space exploration game with a heavy focus on "realism". D2 is a casual pve looter shooter with arcade arena elements. Thats like telling valve that world of warcraft is looking good, "hey valve you gotta be careful with counter strike 2, world of warcrafts 50th expansion is looking dangerous for your metrics!"

1 ReplyGood game, needs a lot of work and prices need to be rationalized. Honestly if you have a good pc (32 gigs of RAM is a must. This is a ram hungry game) and want to try it out they are having a temporary free to play till the end of this month. Just one warning though, the servers are kind of fried due to a large amount of players during an event, so bugs galore, but still, kinda try outable

I use to play star citizen it was very laggy for me whenever I was on a planet I’m not coming back till it at least hits beta or till release hopefully the game will finish eventually

going to blow everyone out of the water.
Haven’t heard that in a long while. The video showed absolutely nothing, and I’ve yet to see a live service game live up to the hype. ….maybe Warframe but even it isn’t something I’d consider an anything killer.

2 RepliesTotally different. Still on Alpha, it is very expensive and unforgiving to progression because it is still deep in development. I wouldn't compare Star Citizen with Destiny 2. Over $12,000 for a content package for a game that's not even finished. And people buy it... As much as I'm disappointed with Destiny 2, Bungie's financial agenda is a lot more forgiving than Roberts Space Industries. Just to be fair, it looks brilliant, but that will be all for the next few years.

1 ReplyI just returned from playing the Free Flight running atm for Star Citizen. And HELL NO! No game company should take example from RSI and CS. Sure, it is impressive what they are doing simulation-wise. But gameplay-wise the game is since 8 years in "Early Access", but RSI considers the game "legally as launched game". They constantly shift their own deadlines, still ask for money after the insane amount of money they already collected as public crowd funding AND still have a horrible game performance (I have a quite good PC and still suffer from 28-42FPS at times, game can't manage 60FPS in most cities/stations). For a game that is since almost 11 years in development, SC is a big scam. And really NO DEV STUDIO should take example from their practices and beyond-practical goals.

8 RepliesPlease do not encourage anyone else to give anything resembling attention to this very obvious scam.

15 RepliesEdited by A_mo: 11/26/2023 7:20:36 AMWhen they zoomed up those mountains there were some lighting pops I was like "damn destiny could have done that part better." That is impressive as hell though. Really truly impressive and the light joke was probably my cheap Motorola indestructible cheap phone. I am going to watch that whole thing now. Truly very impressive. But destiny is one of the best looking games on PS4. Where it started and hasn't totally left yet. And also it does look better than a lot of other games. Also they appear to have had Jane kick off the beginning so Bungie might want to maybe ask about that. When they land on those planets can you go anywhere? Either way truly pumping those little triangle things. Have to respect when the stuff looks absolutely astonishing. So many little pieces of pizza. You have to acknowledge the brilliance of Jane. Didn't think she was that much of a free agent, but hey Jane's going to be doing what shes going to be doing or she'll just go back to Stanford in a heartbeat. "It's where I picked up conducting." That is just absolutely beautiful though I'm seriously going to watch the rest of it. I don't know how fun star citizen is but I heard about how long it was taking and destiny doesn't get to be developed with out us armchairing every second of it. When a game is pushing it like that just watching it could be fun. But I'm more an action person. Now on to the subject of how Bungie would pay to do something like that...

3 RepliesEdited by jhermannITJ: 11/26/2023 7:12:45 AMDo you know what that costed and how long it took to build? Did you ever play the game? Are you willing to pay Bungie piles of cash like the whales of that game did? Alot of it was crowdfunding. But yeah, it's awesome. In a perfect world. I'm sure they know about it, everyone in the industry is well aware. Like Baldur's Gate 3.
