Before all of you hunter mains start whining, just listen. Titans are not broken. Titans have the worst assortment of exotics in PvP, with Dunes being really the only good pick. Pks do not make smgs easier, and are honestly overrated. Pks just give smgs quickdraw and auto loading, with a few more minor things.
Here are some really good Hunter exotics for example:
Wormhusk
Bakris
Stompees
Dragons Shadow
Sixth Coyote
Knucklehead Radar
Now, I’m not asking for nerfs to these exotics at all. As a matter of fact, I promote having a wide variety of useful exotics on every class. Nerfing these exotics would only make this game worse. Bungie constantly overnerfs/power creeps exotics, and it’s really unhealthy for the game in the long run.
All I’m asking for, is for more titan (and warlocks exotics, but that’s a different topic) exotics to be made useful in pvp. Here’s a list of exotics that I think should be taken into consideration for buffs:
Icefall Mantle (always liked the concept, just never really shined)
Crest of Alpha Lupi (a good team support exotic which i think we should see more of)
Lion Rampant (just give it shooting while ads already, titan needs a proper movement exotic)
Arbor Warden (very unique concept, the cost is just too great)
Bring back TG (Twilight Garrison, original D1 movement exotic for titans, basically icarus)
I think that buffing these exotics would actually put titan exotics in contention, and i think that buffs to specific subclasses would help, such as buff stasis across the board, specifically every stasis melee, glacial quake, every grenade, and add more grenades. I also think strand titan and warlock need a buff in pvp, considering that Strand Hunter (aka the decoy spam subclass) is the only useful strand subclass, and its actually pretty op.
Destiny 2 needs less of “well my class is bad so that means your class needs to be as bad as mine” and needs more of “my class is bad, so bring it to the bar of the other classes.” Each class also needs more versatility (more movement on titan, more defense on hunter, more gunplay on warlock)
(P.S. I really don’t want any ridiculously negative comments. These forums are for people to have civilized conversations and expand and possibly change their thinking on topics. So please, if you are open to sharing, then comment. If you’re just hear to scratch your neckbeard and spread toxicity, then you’ll be blocked, and you can wallow in your filth.)
(P.S.2. Sorry for the rant it was pretty long now that I look at it :p)

9 RepliesEdited by A Stormy Dio: 11/8/2023 11:21:48 PMSee, after reading your conversation, I noticed something; not trying to knock your point, but here’s a thought; in theory, most exotics we have now can be really damn effective, with the right build, and the right subclasses (I.e. Geomags with Chaos Reach). Now, notice what exotics you listed in regards to examples of good Hunter exotics, and you notice one glaring similarity between almost all of them; you don’t need to spec into a subclass/ element in order for those exotics to be effective. As I said, most exotics can work so as long as you build into that particular subclass. However, those exotics don’t require any particular Subclass, which means universally, they can be used. Titans and Warlocks do have those types of exotics (You already listed Crest of Alpha Lupi and Lion Rampart. Warlocks have Eye of Another World and Transversive Steps, to name a few.). So in theory, I agree. Titan exotics should be buffed. But we need to be careful as to WHAT Titan exotics to buff. I will agree, Lion Rampart and Crest of Alpha Lupi do need a rework/buff to benefit it more as ‘neutral’ exotic armors in PvP. Icefall Mantle should more be tailored to benefit Behemoth classes; give back a little bit of vitality to that subclass. Arbor Warden should have something more to it than just what it has now, just so that it’s more viable to use. Maybe enhance damage resistance against elemental damage too? Or maybe some way to refund ability energy? IDK. Given there’s already another post of people going to war over Twilight Garrison, I’ll keep my opinion for that when I formulate it, but I’ll say this; if it’s brought back, it needs to be reworked in order to avoid a Stompees situation. I’m not saying remove the Icarus; I’m just saying that it shouldn’t be just ‘Icarus’, and that’s it. This is all just my two sense. I can try and elaborate if need be. And if it dosen’t make sense, that is my fault; I type way too fast and tend to forget to implant things I might wanna say.

2 RepliesI would just be happy if they reworked/buffed the exotics no one uses. Mask of the Quiet One Khepri’s Horn Just to name two examples. Unfortunately the HORN got a rework, but imo it still needs something else.

18 RepliesSaying Dune's are "really the only good" titan pvp exotic is...wow. Even as far as opinions go, that's like having the opinion the sun is cold, and your take on PK's is....certainly a hot one. I'm down for buffs to the exotics you mentioned but your supporting reasons need a lot of work lol. Best of luck with alla that.

13 RepliesBro, we've been at the mercy from titan exotics and just terrible balancing from titan abilities in general for an entire year. The hunter exotics you listed are like B tier at most, stom33s got nerfed so hard that the next buff they recieve is really just putting a change in that should've never been made to begin with and was probably made so titan mains wouldn't cry when their class ability nerf was in the same patch As for wormhusk, it's really situational and is outperformed by an entire hunter subclass already, thus making it outdated Bakris hasn't been a good pick cause it essentially doubles the cooldown of dodge, which is insane. It's like the equivalent of like tier 2 mobility Dragon Shadow got nerfed a while back and hasn't seen any sort of good use in pvp in a while as you can't refresh the buff forever anymore like you used to be able to, sixth coyote is only oppressive with the strand aspect, useless and unnecessary everywhere else, And knucklehead radar... just the mention of it really points out your ignorance on the balance of the meta, Titans have had the most easiest exotics to use, which typically have no real consequences to abilities, They're all usually just passive and happen to enhance an already unbalanced titan ability. Hunters at the end of the day get just a passive movement exotic, and titans get health and shields on kills, invulnerable damage while sliding, AOE upon punching, one shot melee ability, restoration upon class ability with sunspot,(same thing as wormhusk, but way better) insane SMG handling with autoloading, list goes on. All of this stacking with already broken unbalanced abilities in the Titans kit, the nerfs that they're slowly getting for these exotics are in reality bringing them in line with exotics with both warlock and hunter have many of their exotics are more balanced and usually require some amount of work to get the perks going

20 RepliesEdited by Kiro - 13: 11/8/2023 1:11:20 AMNot untill they nerf void titan. The void titan sub-class gets the effect of OEM and Synthoceps lunge built in. Not to mention an AOE overshield you can constantly re-apply, constant enhanced grenade regeneration, a dodge with a 17 second CD that double as a super suppression while dealing moderate damage. Then add in scroll skating so your movement speed is greater then what movement exotics provides. O and a barricade as if every thing else was not enough... Then you get to pick an exotic of your choice to provide what ever effect it may be ontop of every thing else I just listed.

20 RepliesTitans have good pvp exotics especially for checkmate.. Heart of imo One eyed mask Dunes Lorelyes will come back Don't sleep on mask of the quiet one in check mate Warlocks Trans Eye of another world Bryars Ophidians Osio Hunters Lose exotics stompees wormhusk dragon Shadow Bombardiers Backris 6th coyote only starts with one dodge All these exotics require a Dodge to activate Dodge cooldown is longer stompee straight up go away you have to give up something on a hunter to get to 80 resil in checkmate or n 60 in regular pvp, resilience matters, what do you give up 100 recovery or 100 mobility or you make a compromise on both maybe idk the answer, but 3 resil is not an option. As it was Hunter's were already at a flinch and health disadvantage going in at 3 resil, all the cheese in the game punishes low resil. I know you didn't say checkmate, I did. But that's going to be the future of Destiny pvp at some point, at least some iteration of it.

25 RepliesTitans have enough!! Shield bash, over shields , barrier, fastest class with an in air dodge bubble before any other supers. Did I mention over shields ya ya over shields. That’s just one sub too without even using an exotic. Oh wards did I mention wards. How about greaves. How about Synthoceps. How about dunes!! Peacemakers!! I could just keep going but I think you get the point.
-
2 RepliesDoesn’t even mention Khepris Horn where you get a flame and that’s it. No movement, no subclass verb, I use it and -blam!- it it’s -blam!-. I’ll always love it.

1 ReplyThey were just meta.

11 RepliesI don't think you can really justify hunters being so dominant over titans just yet. If we wanna compare exotics then sure hunters have more choices. But for now arc and void will reign Supreme ability wise alone. We literally need no exotic on titan to compliment how OP it is. If we punch someone to death we get full health. Wormhusk only gives a a partly heal compared to that and goes off of dodge. Shoulder charge is good movement just in general and peregrine makes is a one shot. Our nades are busted and void makes the give off volatile passively. Lorely is a pve exotic. Synthos got the ophidian treatment so it's alright. Antaeus should be deleted not nerfed Pks and dunes go hard af and that's my opinion on them. OeM should also just get deleted if we get health on a melee kill. Warlocks and titans may have the least exotics to use and the least subclasses but are easier to play than hunter. Only thing annoying on hunter is the decoy with massive wyrm spam. But same can be said for the "nerfed" titan overshields that still get popped everywhere. Just some insight from a different view on the matter.

11 RepliesHow I know Hunters have no idea what’s best for Titan: I am having a Hunter main (who shall remain nameless) on this topic tell me that Helm of Saint-14 is good within crucible. His reason? It blinds people in Bubble and it works with the class specific glaive bubble. Hunter brain. Period.

5 RepliesEdited by Bobson Dugnutt: 11/8/2023 4:44:32 PMHunter has a very good choice of exotics for sure. Many of the best not on that list. Knucklehead has been good recently though in PvP.

64 RepliesEdited by BabyMoonArt: 11/7/2023 10:08:42 AMGonna give my opinion on those 6 hunter exotics: Wormhusk Crown - Useless on anything but arc with Combination Blow. The bump can be so minute at times that it seems to grant literally nothing. Its effects apear to be inconsistent and seemingly random. Mask of Bakris - Never used it, but I don't see how it can be oh so good compared to half the Titan exotic armory alone. Perhaps I just need to try it and see. Stomp-EE5 - They've become joke exotics at this point. It's already bad enough that they provide literally no benefit to gameplay outside of jumping puzzles, but this is just insulting. Dragon's Shadow - From my experience playing with others, this is useless to 90% of Hunters, since for some reason they all use Marksman's Dodge anyway, besides, how hard is it to reload manually? Why I never liked MD. Sixth Coyote - Oh boy, a second dodge, because that's not overshadowed by any other exotic... I like dancing... Knucklehead Radar - Come on, now, you're toying with me...right? This exotic is dogwater. Here's the few that I use: Assassin's Cowl Graviton Forfeit Star-Eater Scales People also like the Lucky Pants for some reason known only to God. I'd need to check my Titan exotics to remember what they had. There were some good ones.

2 RepliesThis is one of the only posts about buffing titan exotics that I can agree with. Most of the time it’s people asking for them to revert Lorelei’s or OEM back to their pre-nerf states. You chose exotics that are actually underperforming and didn’t ask them to buff exotics that didn’t need it. You are also right about warlocks being a separate issue lmao.

1 ReplyMask of the quiet one buff.. pls
-
26 RepliesPeople actually think that titan not having a gamebreaking outlier of an exotic is poor balance...
-
4 RepliesCrazy that you think stompees are good. Every since players complained about not being able to look up they are unusable. I agree with everyone else though hunter has the best exotics for PvP but warlocks rule PvE titans are just really solid in both
-
I’d agree those need buffs. - Icefall - Stasis overshields need buffs, but I’d either reduce the movement penalties or give it a secondary effect like final blows with a stasis overshield can generate a shard. - Crest - Make the pulse Cure x2. And maybe have orbs of power grant extra barricade energy. - Lion Rampant - ADS - Arbor Warden - Debatable if it needs a PvP-oriented buff. The ability to cut distance is pretty solid. I’d say that barricade placements disorient nearby combatants or something. Twilight is tough. Titans already have better movement than warlocks and you can see how strong Icarus dash is already. It and well basically carry Dawnblade.
-
2 RepliesTitan exotics get nerfed because the other classes cry when ever titans get 1 good exotic.
-
Look, so long as the warlock exotic boots with the toes, the dawgs, the little grippers out gets permanently removed from the game I will agree with you
-
1 ReplyDecent post. I agree with some of your comments and disagree with others. The titan exotics you talked about, probably do need work for PvP. I also agree that Bungie over nerfs things, or seem to nerf them for either no / or bad reasons. I also think you are right, we don’t need to suggest nerfs to classes or equipment we either don’t play as, or don’t understand, don’t use or don’t know how to play against. The game should be balanced. There should be many options for builds and exotic use for all classes. Here is where you lost me, IMO of course. The Hunter exotics you talked about aren’t all that great for pvp. Outside of Stomp-ee5, I don’t recall the last time I saw any hunter using any of them in PvP. Even Stomp-EE5 aren’t that great and many other ones are a lot better.

15 RepliesAs a titan main, we are fine as is(are?).
nibbles crayon
15 RepliesYeye, Peacekeepers do nothing >just give smgs quickdraw and auto loading, with a few more minor things >FEW MORE NINOR THINGS just lmao. Titats have most viable and broken pvp exotics, but they just dont understand that bcoz mobility for weak hunters right? Until the "cheese forever" releases a new video like "OMG THIS IS BROKEN AF. GET IF FAST!!!NEW TITAN BUILD IS MEGA OP!!!" the titans will not rebuild their gameplay and start changing something in their gameplay. Imagine what would happen if bungie clone Peacekeepers perk to lucky pants. synthoceps dunemarshes oem peregrine citans loreley they are all too way strong but nvm titans will never understand that until somestreamer tells them opposite btw Wormhusk - was nerfed, still playable through Bakris - was nerfed, useless Stompees - was nerfed to hell, bcoz jumping is to OP Dragons Shadow - useless Sixth Coyote - useless Knucklehead Radar - useless You didnt mention some good hunters exotics that was also nerfed to hell, like renewal grasps, and YAS

1 ReplyEdited by Rainbine 9545: 11/7/2023 8:52:26 AMI always had an idea for icefall mantles, I would have actually done this Take the actual exotic part of the arms and make it part of the super, but make it so icefall either A: removes the speed penalty Or B: makes the shield more tanky Also my reasoning for this is basically this, titans for stasis have nothing to call them “behemoth” they have nothing that makes them as tanky as the name suggests but it would also give them the same treatment as warlocks, one exotic to get the build to work perfectly, maybe add an perk that makes it rapid kills with stasis weapons make stasis crystals
-
3 RepliesWhile I personally disagree with your statement that peacekeepers are weak, you do make a good point about everything else. I got arbor warden a few days ago, and -blam!- loved the idea behind it. But... the thing is so useless I can't comprehend it. The only time I really felt like I did some thing I couldnt do otherwise, it was when I threw rally bcades at people in crucible to one shot them, or threw a towering barricade at the feet of my raid team while we dpsed with rockets, causing everyone to die
