I wont go into specifications because it doesn't really impact on the principle question but i recently went from having a very good CPU and GPU to having a top of the range CPU and GPU and have seen all but no improvement in Destiny 2. I was getting higher than 150 fps in most situations, of course that tends to fluctuate depending on the location and activity but after the upgrade, my numbers haven't changed. Don't get me wrong, my experience of the game isn't terrible by any stretch of the imagination but i would have expected something of an improvement that didn't happen. I can only assume that is because D2 isn't particularly well optimised, could even be a reason that no one uses it to benchmark hardware (obviously the fact that software like riva tuner doesn't work with Destiny because of anticheat precautions wont help). Is it likely that things like drivers are a contributing factor?
