Guardian Ranks Toxicity
Just hearing about this already sounds bad, there will be many, MANY players who will treat this as another way to gatekeep other players.
"Oh you have a low Guardian rank, sorry you can't join us unless you rank 8 or better."
I hope Bungie REALLY thought this through and it works out cause if not it's gonna end badly.

The ranks are just what others think of you.

If Bungie adds rewards for carrying, people will do it. For example, I touched guided games and Sherpa people for some rare emblems.

Make your own team with your own requirements. Trust me you don’t want those elitists anyways. They’ll be the first to leave or cause someone else to leave, they’ll be inflexible, they’ll be a crybaby: they’ll be toxic. Making sure you don’t play with them sounds like a good thing to me.

Nothing is sopping people from making their own lfg posts. Nothing ever has. So the elitist thing is more just a eye roll then something that matters. If your rank is low make your own.

The (toxicity)will be fleeting,as in looking at your rank and thinking ,nah. So then you either rank up or make your own fireteam.

I can already tell it’s going to be a thing where there’s one or two posts being “toxic” asking for guardians of high rank. But there’s going to be 30 or so posts complaining about people being “toxic”

Not everyone has the time or wants to guide inexperienced players. The last thing I want is to end up in a group who are going to get annoyed with me if I’m slowing them down.

It not that they are trying to be evil, it just inviting someone so much lower in rank is detrimental to the entire team However they really didn’t say much about the system We don’t even know the requirements

1 ReplyDid you see how its gonna work though? It looks like to be a high rank you're gonna have no choice but to help people. We just found out that this even exists <4 hours ago. It doesn't come out for another 6 months (or maybe more). Relaxx and give it a chance to be implemented before shooting it down

It's actually going to do the opposite of what you're implying since LFG will be in-game now, and people have the right to ask for what they are looking for under their own specifications or requirements. Although if you won't get far if you're low ranking and asking for high ranking only.

I have little faith in this system. I can guarantee instead of making things better, it will only make it worse. Those with no completions will not get more. They only want top tier players.
