I have a great connection. No game lags just Destiny.
I got a Xbox Series One series X, so I tried the Crucible…. Holy sh*t it’s horrible. All PlayStation players are lagging and teleporting. You get shot behind walls. A melees connect from a mile away or they don’t at all. It’s a horror show.
Why is this being pushed by some egomaniac director? I have no clue, but it shouldn’t be allowed to exist in the game. No wonder why so many people are angry at Bungie if they have 1999 connections between players.
If you are trying to have fun I suggest not to play this game until your voices are heard in a respectful manner obviously.

1 ReplyYou’re right. Nothing more to be said. But wait until the fanboys come out of the woodwork to blame it on your internet connection.
-
welcome to crossplay. pc aint much better.
-
It’s just PlayStation consoles I think. I don’t have issues with anything else
-
We can play it with the fine motor controls of ours hands and fingers as well as the internet connection and same access to technology most gamers have.
-
21 RepliesCross play in pvp is absolutely the worst thing they have come up with yet. It’s super awesome for pve content, but completely trash for pvp. As a PlayStation player, I see the same as you saw but it’s mostly xboxers I see teleporting
-
Select destinations Then select Clash Then select launch That's how
-
Don't you dis my AOL connection. Not cool. 🤣🤣🤣

You guys will learn to have fun in destiny the very second you stop taking this game seriously. Im sorry but destiny will never ever be the competitive game you all want. No game is as cheese as destiny

3 RepliesCan't defend a P2P for a corporation that rakes in massive amounts of money. My internet is maybe average or slightly better, and I generally do not have problems. I definitely use a cabled connection for my PS5. If you have multiple people in a household using the network, and you're on wi-fi with an average access point, you're going to have trouble. Not defending Bungie. Just got a "bee" error as I wrote this LMAO FML

How can players play PVP in general: Go into the hopper and play the game. Use your thumbs and your eyes, sometimes your fingers. How about when you guys make mistakes you blame yourselves instead of the game and others? How about lfg with other people who like PVP like you? How about have fun? I dunno, just some things off the top of my head.

Glad I’m on PC

1 ReplyNot sure why I see some console war responses down here but I think OP is iterating the point that the implementation of crossplay also introduced a network imbalance between consoles- I play wired on my Xbox and the only game that I have any trouble with lag is Destiny’s PvP, particularly against players on the opposing platform

10 RepliesI’m beginning to think that most people are just playing on horrible connections, and then blaming it on crossplay. My connection is great, and I run into very few lag issues in crucible. Even during crossplay interactions! Sure, I get the occasional player who looks like they’re playing from somewhere on Mars. But it’s rare that it actually impacts my game to the point that I have a negative experience because of it. Most games I lose can be chalked up to being less skilled than my opponents, or the horrid lobby balancing stacking against me (which is kinda the same thing, but not always).

2 RepliesYou dude, just have a really shitty connection. Since crossay has come out I have never not once witnessed lag as bad as you have explained it lol, not from Xbox users, Pc users, or even Playstation users, and my Wi-fi speeds are between 20-44mbps. But you think it's right to blame them cause of the whole console war shenanigan, when really it's probably and very likely it is your own faults connection. So plz, do us a favor, stop blaming others for you incompetence and find a better provider, or check for any issues with your own Wi-fi, and no that doesn't just mean your own router, that also means Xbox services in your area and ect... Bye.

1 ReplyMeanwhile I end up reporting 7/10 xbox players for the same reasons...
-
Easy I don’t play cruncicle 😎
-
2 RepliesI get the same thing with Xbox players.
-
I got an xbox to play with people on xbox, so I get matched with other platforms all the time. I get matched with Steam players for PVE activities which is also terrible most of the time.
-
Don't hold your breath.
-
Weird played a bunch today and didn’t have that problem… Sounds like a skill issue
-
3 RepliesI mean pvp is very bland and lack luster in this game. I don’t know how people play it in general when you have much better options out there.
-
Series s here normally everything is fine rarely they'll be someone teleporting

They were on the same platform as me. If you’re having severe lag, I suggest investing things on you end.

1 ReplyOk so what you do is use the thumbsticks to move your character and your camera...

Step away from CBMM 6vs6 with 11 random packet routes all swapping data and damage numbers with you & everyone else, through Bungie’s P2P system Step into Elimination (for the Crucible pinnacle) or Survival (Comp) 3vs3 - Skill Based Matchmaking (SBMM) Less players = less data flying around, more space on the map, less chance of getting shot in the -blam!- by someone whilst fighting 1-3 other players
-
I do agree they tend to be a bit more laggy than the others, I'm sorry to hear that. It must be frustrating. Fortunately for me it's not as bad as that or maybe I've just gotten used to it lol
