Nightfall weapon dropping as legacy
Exactly what it says on the tin I got a nightfall weapon to drop from the corrupted ("Horror's Least") and it dropped as a Sunset/Legacy Item

10 RepliesThis is suppose to happen. The point is NOT for you to have the weapon. It is supposed to be sunset. The point is it is necessary for either a truimph or seal. Can't remember which one. But Bungie added it on purpose cause people couldn't complete said seal.

Oh cool, they took Rangefinder away from it, so it can't replace my sunset one , so I am less interested in farming it

That truly sucks. I’m sure Bungie will have it fixed sometime after next reset….. sometime meaning a week, a month, next season or longer. Cough, Cough Blight Ranger

The reprised one drops in the feed as an activity completion reward, like rep & prisms, and is affected by the things like difficulty & platinum. The sunset one comes from the chest when it opens and is at a fixed drop rate, as it's not part of the "potential rewards" loot table in the activity preview. With particularly insane RNG, it is possible to get both in one run.

That sucks, and this Nightfall is the worst one in the game too. What also sucks is turning in the weekly challenge that awards a nightfall weapon and getting Silicon Neuroma instead of the weekly featured weapon.

It's required to complete the Dreaming City badge and that's the only reason this even occurs. It's not a bug or an error, and not a NF weapon drop. It's more of a novelty item. Used to drop at zero light which can be useful.

I was kind of bummed out I couldn't do Nightfall this week because I absolutely refuse to do "The Corrupted", but I don't use snipers, so I feel ok about it now😂. That sucks its glitching though. The pulse is "eh", not too worried, but hopefully they'll fix that. Maybe I'll want to try getting it at some point

If its from the chest its a sunset version. The nightfall reward drops from the completion.
