I remember when I first started up destiny 2 and getting my first exotic sparrow, the vanishing point, and too see it’s amazing “ that’s definitely an exotic “ thrust show of amazing light effects, and not to mention many others that have very unique thrust shows, either it be a big blast from the hastilude, the cherry blossoms from the undefeated crimson days one, but now for the last while exotic sparrows, sure they look cool and go 160, but looks and speed to me isn’t a exotic, without those super cool effects I’m just left feeling like I have a legendary, I’d love to see the team at least make one or two a season with some sweet effects to give us sparrows that really have that exotic feel

2 RepliesThe only exotic sparrow needed is Always on Time. But my heart will always belong to Undefeated

2 RepliesI want the super charged risked boost some of the D1 raid sparrows had, where you could blow up if you held the super boost down too long. I hope it comes back with the VoG returning.

No more cosmetics

1 Replyya know, makes me wonder in all these years why so many good ideas like this have not been implemented. As a platform, Destiny has had so much unfulfilled potential - it's crazy! Which makes me think - they are still in beta mode to this day, trying to stabilize an architecture that is buggy and therefore a nightmare to enhance. Also why I think the whole "season" thing exists, modular code rewrite, pretty much confirmed in the latest TWaB. It's like they "sorta" had a plan, then piled sloppy on top of unfinished and now find it a major pain to put out a rambling dumpster fire.

That is all.

4 RepliesI’d prefer if they gave Amanda a reason to be there. Give sparrows a revamp, allowing us to customize them completely, earning strong drives, custom trails, and trick bonuses. While we’re at it, let us earn custom ship bonuses, such as heavy ammo spawn/additional inventory space or the like, unique ship trails, etc. Give us more stuff, I’m willing to grind.

11 RepliesAlways on Time makes every sparrow in the game not matter. Sparrows need the ghost treatment with customization to horns and exhaust.

I don’t understand the point in exotics. Why are there even green, blue, or legendary sparrows ghosts and ships? Also why is the raid sparrow literally faster than everything else? I get that it was a special raid reward, but I don’t want to be forced to use one sparrow and I would like to see SRL come back. Also where the hell are sparrow horns?

6 RepliesAlmost everything in Destiny 2 has become generic. To appease the leftist groups - nobody should feel special so all items have been neutered.

Still have a Vanishing Point on my main. Put it on when I wanna give the razzle dazzle.

My Sparrow as rainbow exhaust. But I don't care, I just want horns back!

1 ReplyI would absolutely kill to have engine sound mods!!! Imagine sparrows flying past you like it was pod racing in Star Wars where everyone had a different engine sound.

2 RepliesIf we want exotic sparrows to mean something, give them the ghost shell 2.0 treatment while exotics get a cosmetic feature (or two) over legendary ones.

While we are at it, what happened to Iron Banner ships??

I’m the guy on console where you can’t even see the back of your sparrow. :(

2 RepliesThe only one that actually was cool was the vault of glass one, because it had that booster. Other than that I hate getting them in place of something good in a NF etc.

I use Azure Azazyle as my sparrow cause it has a more sport bike esthetic, never been a fan of the split fronts on sparrows. I would use the ones that have you sit more like a chopper, but the hunter cloak glitches out on them

Always On Time is not breaking any thing. So why not buff all raid sparrows to equal Always On Time, O make the LW one exotic not legendary. Prob the flawless one as well to as you need to have parity across end game activitys. Would give meaning to them like your are saying.

Edited by Double07: 3/1/2021 1:47:25 AMYeah, I agree. Bungie have lately been making a handful of ships and sparrows that just have interesting shapes or maybe a lore tab to justify their status as “exotics.” However, ever since Eververse heavily influenced D2 even at launch, the sparrows have already lost their shine and there so much of them that function virtually the same. The term “Exotic” is just a way in marketing to justify a cosmetic’s status in price and rarity. Like if it’s exotic, it must mean it’s the coolest cosmetic to have, regardless of aesthetics. Putting the rarity “Legendary” on a redundant sparrow means it’s bright engram fodder for anyone who has cooler sparrows. Usually in games like Destiny 2, the rarity of a skin matters the most for some people. Ex: CSGO Additionally, what happened to ‘raid sparrows’ in D1 that made you go faster but exploded when you held the break for too long? That demonstrated so much potential in creating endgame loot like that in Destiny altogether. Rarity over form over function, that’s what things seem to be reduced to.

I use a Y1 exotic sparrow or pre foreaken solstice one. These aren't effected by the doresaken boost nerf.

8 RepliesThere is literally no reason to use any sparrow other than the scourge one tbh. It’s the same problem with old ghosts. The scourge sparrow is faster, has more boosts built in, built in stealth drive and short cold down. It has the most bonuses than any other sparrow in the game so why use anything else? We need to make all sparrows slightly faster with the same speed and allow for perks that we can slot in like current ghosts to even the playing field and let me use the sparrow that I want to.
