Crossplay will just bring PC cheating to console players. And that will continue the decline of Destiny pvp. I think you should solve the cheating problem before instituting crossplay. At least people should have the option to only play with other console players.

1 Replythat's why console doesn't want crossplay but maybe just maybe when they do it and see console players drop off they will address the cheaters finally
-
12 RepliesDON’T ALLOW FREE TO PLAY PLAYERS IN IRON BANNER AND TRIALS OF OSIRIS. THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE ACCESS TO END GAME ACTIVITIES. F2P players = Cheaters

2 RepliesI gave up PvP years ago. No tears from me.

Don’t forget all the console cheaters using strike packs or some other gadget.
-
Bud you’re never gonna escape cheaters, all the cheats you hear or see that pc gets, ya get in some way or form on console, and we’ve been dealing with ddosing since D1. So while I agree it should be optional, it might not be because they may not want to separate the player base once they get it merged.

3 RepliesWhy is bumbie not using anti-cheat? I think pride is one of them.
-
I can see cross-play dealing a death blow to consoles. Meh... Sony and Microsoft can live without console sales.
-
4 RepliesYou point ou the wrong culprit about cheating. F2p players are the issue. They shouldnt be able to go in pvp modes without having a main dlc.
-
3 RepliesCheating on console is already here. I have gotten several responses from Bungie just recently that my reporting has helped catch cheating players.
-
2 RepliesCheating is already on console.

4 RepliesIf pc cheaters come to console I will be done with destiny

1 ReplyWait...no fxkin way to opt out of playing against pc players in crucible? -blam!-ing christ on a cracker.
-
It has to have that option. It's like that on every other crossplay game out now.
-
They won't need to cheat. Due to the higher fps and superior aim and movement provided by keyboard & mouse, pc players will be running circles around console players legitimately. My friend who plays COD (I don't) told me that they introduced cross play between pc and consoles. It's ruined it for console players.

Edited by Grim: 2/4/2021 10:39:21 AMDamn straight I don't even see a point in this cross play bs anymore bungie already made it where you can cross play your account across platforms and it was handled poorly like most things they do. So I can only see this going poorly for console players in the end. All this will achieve is getting a lot more people to quit cause it'll bring in cheaters on console but if bungie just made PvP for only non F2P players it'll fix cheating easily.

2 RepliesI'll laugh as i finally will have to find a new game to get addicted to for Years. Maybe outsiders? Hmm
-
This worries me.....a lot. Consoles already have cheaters not near as many as pc but with this.......oh god
-
1 ReplyOr they could get an anticheat system
-
As I don't play anymore, and judging from how Bungie handles things nowadays, especially them being silent about options on this... I kinda look forward to what will probably happen when PC and console clashes in a forced way. Let's just say I don't think it will make more people play this already chaos infested pvp... =P * popcorn emote *

1 ReplyAnyone else notice bungie's absolute lack of transparency on this topic? That's a clear signal to me that it will 100% be forced with no option to toggle cross play on/off. If they were going to make it optional, they would've come out and said so already.

3 RepliesCheating is the most minor issue concerning cross platform play. It’s only one of a myriad of issues, and in the grand scheme of things it’s the most easily solvable. It’s safe to assume that the majority of console players are still playing on PS4 or Xbox One. They’re instantly at a significant disadvantage against PC players who are playing in 60 FPS with maxed FOV settings. Even with increased recoil on MnK, it still enables vastly superior target acquisition and movement mobility than controller. The sandbox might be the same but the playability differences between pc and console are night and day. Cheating is relatively easy fixes to implement. Fundamental differences in playability and performance superiority is not fixable.

3 RepliesLove how people don't think cheating is rampant on console. It is, just not as obvious. Anti recoil and added aim assistance control mods are used constantly. They just hard to detect because it isn't blatant system manipulation.

8 RepliesPVP just need to be taken out of Destiny completely

1 ReplyEdited by OBI-SWEDE KENOBI: 2/4/2021 5:58:53 AMIt's time to move on from Destiny, nothing....and I mean absolutely nothing is going towards the better.

Bungie needs a real anticheat, the current one is garbage.
