Actually shaders and other cosmetics is one thing I don’t mind being removed. It’s actually a good way to maintain a degree of FOMO without actively effecting the narrative or gameplay. I absolutely wish I had Carminica, but I wasn’t playing then so fair enough. It also leads to some degree of individuality in the game. Load into a full Tower of 20 guardians and you see maybe 5 different shaders. If everybody could every shader at any time, you’d see even less

Don't know why there isn't. It'll be 2021 in 6 weeks. Bungie must not care that the 4 or 5 active ninjas out of 50 or so are completely overwhelmed. Giving a user option to retract statements would lessen that impact significantly.

You sort of answered your own question. Since they are just cosmetics and have no effect on gameplay, shaders and emblems are often used as rewards for triumphs, preorder, challenges and ..... It was obtainable for those who cared enough to do whatever it took to get them and they have the shader/ship/sparrow to show for it. Giving it to everybody would be like a kick in the a.. to those who puts in extra effort just for that thing who does nothing but colour your stuff. Same with other items like sparrows and ships. I'd hate it if everybody could get the ship I had to do 200 legendary frames in forges to get. Just hated the last 50 runs. I did it just for the ship

Honestly I would just be satisfied if the Collections tab were complete. They wanted to make it an encyclopedia for the loot of the game, but stuff like Eververse Ships and Sparrows you didn't obtain disappear from it after the season ends (Season 6 in all tabs seems to be the exception to this), or the Armor section completely not displaying pieces of a pre-Forsaken armor/ornament you never obtained instead of having them greyed out. They actually did add a lot back into it this season, like all the old Emblems. Would just like to see them continue it.

1 ReplyI’ve never got the 2 secret crucible shaders from forsaken and black armory. I actually never figured out how to get them. But honestly, I’m fine with that. Not my problem to lose a few cosmetics. Everyone needs to keep in mind here. Bungie is NOT generous. The chances of any of these being obtainable again is so ridiculous low, that it’s for all purposes, pointless to debate here. Bungie WANTS this reaction from all of you. This helps their focus at this point in their game “Fear of missing out.” It’s not ever going to change.

"they JUST change colors" the argument being that its so trivial there is no point in withholding them, despite the fact that such logic works both ways; if its so trivial, then why do you even care? oh, so its not quite so trivial? then you've sabotaged your own argument!

5 RepliesI tried so hard to get the shaders from the izinami and gofanan forges. 2 of the best looking in the game. They never dropped for me. (the only curated weapon I ever got from forges was hammerhead in Bergusia). So now ill never get them thanks to garbage rng. Ya just love to see it.
