Please, for the love of god, buff Warlock melee speed to be the same as Hunters and Titans.
Titans and Hunters should not be able to throw out two melees after I initiate and before I can hit them again.
Edit: And for those morons who whine about that extra 1 meter range that warlocks have that might as well not exist since lunge is a thing, nerf the range. I don't give a shit about the range since it doesn't help any.
Edit2: So the situation is even stupider than I was thinking. As it turns out, warlocks don't actually have a longer lunge range. We have the *exact same lunge range* as hunters and titans. Rendering the extra range even more useless than I thought it was.

It’s slower because you can melee at the very edge of your range (1 extra m) and never actually fully lunge and make contact with the person with your fist. You can sit back hit your melee then take one step back and watch titans hand hunters T. rex arm as they try and melee you. Warlocks melee is the best in the game you just need to be smart with it to make it the best

3 RepliesIt's the best melee in the game and you want a buff? Sure, but give the other classes a 5m melee as well.
-
2 RepliesI'm sure D1 had exotic gauntlets to buff the speed but I agree it feels slow as it is
-
2 RepliesI’ve been playing top tree Dawnblade recently and it’s freaking broken. People complain about hunters but holy cow, I do better with this class than I ever did on Hunter and celestial fire is monstrous. So helpful in so many situations. Frankly, any buff to that class would be ludicrous. Please don’t nerf it though, I’m having too much fun.

Edited by ReticentHope417: 9/18/2020 4:53:05 PMI think the primarily reason the marginally slower melee speed is kept is because of the innate range warlock palm strikes have over physical punches. What I mean by this is that while a hunter/Titania’s to lunge to physical contact range for their melees, a warlock does not. A warlock will be left physically further away from the their target during the strike and after when compared to punching, making their melees technically “safer”. This concept also ignores the hit registration range buff that warlocks got, which also improves their melee “safety”

2 RepliesIt's slower but has an extra 0.0000000000000001m range 🤦♂️
-
5 RepliesLol, don’t titans have a running overshield melee anyway? This game is broken AF. Just buff everything at this point. See how far this rabbit hole goes.
-
Laughing my ass off at the ding holes who think “celestial fire” is the sole reason why our melee speed shouldn’t be buffed. He’s asking for a BASE melee speed increase.
-
Warlock having a slower melee speed is my SINGLE gripe about class imbalance. It’s literally dumb that is just inherently slower. There’s zero reason for it to be.
-
4 RepliesI'm a titan main and I usually get out melee by warlock and hunters.
-
Totally not a bias post and not telling others are wrong because someone got made in a pvp game and went to the forums like a twitter Karen. 😃

-
3 RepliesIt's gonna cost you some range
-
2 RepliesSure, just remove the extra meter or two their melee gets, too.
-
4 RepliesGunslinger has a slow melee speed as well I believe. I don't see either of these being addressed anytime soon. Sorry.

1 ReplyEdited by Swiftlock: 9/13/2020 5:31:17 PMYou're playing Warlock wrong. Their melee has an extended range. It's for finishing, NOT for constantly getting into boxing matches against full-health Titans and Hunters. I agree that Warlocks should have more projectile-based melees, but don't make them operate more similarly to the other two classes. That's dull. Each class should have its own identity and playstyle.
-
I will side with you because no one is trying to snipe melee with a warlock. If people think the Titan and Hunter Melees are unique there wrong cause it’s same speed and damage. All they need to do is make all melees the same, damage, speed and range. It’d be a different story if the melees on all classes were drastically different.
-
3 RepliesTitans and warlocks shouldn't have super immunity but they do thats not fair to hunters.
-
7 Repliesand nerf celestial fire range.
-
2 RepliesIt was omly slow in D1 because we had God ramge on the melee which made sense now that the range is gone, whats the point?
-
Two words. Celestial fire.

Edited by GrifterDeMier01: 9/14/2020 6:40:55 AMWarlocks are dorky little wizards. You should not be trying to punch someone to death with them. Titans are giant hulking jocks. Of course their melee will be better. And hunters are nimble little goth kids who like to play with knives so of course their melee will be better also.
-
1 ReplyTitans could do with normal arms tbh, now it feels like they have T-Rex arms ffs.
-
Idk why they didn't do this in the first place! nobody asked for more range just same speed.
-
All the people saying it’s fine because has ONE extra meter range should actually play on Warlock for once. That 1m is so insignificant that you can’t even tell it’s there.
